A good keeper compared to a poor one is probably going to save 5-10 goals (at a conservative estimate) over a season, which can be 10-15 points. It also means the defence can get forward a little more and the team doesnt need to bring everyone back for corners or free kicks, because if the ball gets anywhere near him, he'll claim it. OTOH, without a striker, the opposition is going to learn they don't really need to bother defending, so can afford to set themselves up in a much more attacking format, which means they get far more chances, even a better keeper can't keep them all out.
