Bailey Peacock-Farrell - £300,000

Recommended Posts

I must admit, I'm not sure on this one. With Wildsmith/Dawson, we will only end up mid-table at best, due to our lack of firepower up front. I'm really not sure if £300k on a 'keeper would propel us much higher.

Confusing as we were told we weren’t allowed to spend any money, and if loan fees are allowed then why not £300k on a permanent transfer too

Yeah, I don't really get this, either.

If, as reported, we can't pay any transfer fees, then you'd assume this would also extend to loan fees as well.

Unless we were hoping there'd be no loan fee and Burnely have just slapped £300k on which has caught us by surprise?

We needed a new keeper, the other 2 unfortunately haven't proven themselves consistently over the time they've had chances.

Remains to be seen if this lad is the answer, but at least we are attempting to strengthen areas that are weak.

Yes I assumed that Burnley wanting a loan fee rules us out, maybe some reporters are just missing making that point.

A permanent transfer fee would surely be deemed a better use of money by the EFL as we could make money from a resale, rather than loan fees which is effectively money we wouldn’t get back
