Reach to Baggies?

Nixon says West Brom interested in Adam Reach.

Which is odd. Why would a promotion-seeking huge budget Club want a player who doesn’t tackle strongly enough?

Maybe they think goals, assists and the fitness to play 44 x 90 mins are more important.

Reach being linked with WBA is somehow justifying his pea hearted performances last season?

He'll get a move to a WBA or a Stoke or similar and be a squad player. He'll be a 6/10 player and bottle 50/50s but chip in with 5 goals and 5 assists a season and fans wont care when they sell him in 18 months having made 2million quid on him

Reach undoubtedly has a lot of talent, which when allied the right attitude and desire, make him a real asset at that level. When many of our other 'star' players were out injured, Reach stepped up and helped drag the team clear of relegation under Luhukay.

Unfortunately, we've seen very little of that from him in the past two seasons, for whatever reason. Towards the latter stages of last season in particular, he appeared to be going through the motions.

I suspect a fresh start, freed from general malaise which permeates Sheffield Wednesday, will see him rediscover something like his best form.

Exactly. Past two seasons for whatever reason he wasn’t at the races. But before that he was a really good player at this level.

Will do well wherever he goes

No brainer for WBA on a free, if he will accept lower wages, be a decent signing, we all know what he is capable of, just haven’t seen it this last two years. Good luck to him.

Or maybe he'd play like he used to, bang in screamers, put in killer crosses if his club paid him, had ambition, and could sign players

Personally, I think he’s a lucky boy if the Baggies are after him. I think he’s a decent player when he’s on it but not top level championship standard. Plus, you’ve got to question his desire and heart for the team when the chips are down.

I wish him well tho.

Where's all this lower wages stuff come from?

When players are out of Contract or moving on a free, they invariably get a higher wage/signing on fee/ longer contract length to capitalise on this. Covid or whatever, Reach and his agent will know that we paid £6 million for him and he's racked up another 200 games since then.
