Love German football.

Bundesliga is great although my team, 1860, are still treading water in 3 Liga.

Whats going on at 1860?

Theres a couple of names in Liga 3 that you think shouldn’t be down there.

Mind you, no different to English football there.

Mismanagement of the highest order + spending silly money =  huge fall from grace.

Sound familiar?

Another German football lover here. Had a season ticket at Chemie Leipzig (fourth tier) season before last, Covid rather wrecked that though.

2. Bundesliga really could be the most compelling league in Europe this season, bonkers the combination of teams they’ve got in there. Anybody still looking for a team to get behind, try Dynamo Dresden, went there about eighteen months ago and couldn’t believe the atmosphere, they’ve basically got a slightly smaller version of the yellow wall.

Prediction, since someone asked:

1. Bayern

2. BVB

3. Leverkusen

4. Gladbach

16. Bochum

17. Bielefeld

18. Greuther Fürth

1. Fortuna Düsseldorf

2. Werder Bremen

3. Karlsruhe

16. Hansa Rostock

17. Sandhausen

18. Ingolstadt

Already getting the feeling I've overrated Leverkusen, they look a bit of a mess.

Also went through there for the first time this week, what a bizarre place. Sort of like Immingham but bigger, a fairly large industrial town with essentially no centre.

Presumably all to do with Bayer pharmaceuticals?

Werder and Schalke look like learning some harsh lessons already.

It's reassuring in a way that England isn't the only country where the lower divisions end up being a graveyard for big clubs.

The likes of HSV and Schalke being in the 2nd division is nuts. This is HSV's 4th year isn't it? They lost to St Pauli (again) last week as well..

Bayern top after 7-0

My team Stuttgart lose to ten men Leverkusen 🙄

Beat Bochum, city twinned with Sheffield. Random fact i remember from school days. Not even sure what it means to be 'twinned' as a city!

4 points seperates top to 12th in Bundesliga 2. The traditional powerhouses Schalke, Werder and HSV (for many years now) are struggling to dominate. It's a hard league to call. Always used to love football manager careers with lower league German teams. I once enoyed getting Wormatia Worms to the Bundesliga.
