In our current predicament we can't turn our nose up at Connor Wickham. We could do far far worse on a short term deal to test his fitness

No but he would probably turn his nose up at us.

Lacina Traore is absolutely huge. Sign him up. 6ft8. Exactly what you need in League One.

Wonder if we could attract Gestede?

Signing Wickham would be madness, proving unequivocally that we haven’t learned a thing from past errors.

On the right terms it’s a no brainier. Like the terms we got Hutchinson back on.

We have no strikers. Windass is now injured. We need at least 2 ASAP if they announced Wickham tomorrow it would be a boost.

Paul mullin be a good shout

kieran agard was one a good forward , not sure what’s happened to him of recent years

could be looking at loans

young strikes like John jules , or adam idah , loans from champ clubs for 3rd choice forwards?

but sure there are plenty out there Moore is looking at

Mullin has just signed for Wrexham on a three year deal.

Dropped down two leagues.

Rich American Actor owners at Wrexham.

Money talks. Says a bit about his ambition though.

Playing none league probably on a very good wages, for 1 year before back in league two. Americans dont buy football club for hobbies they buy them to make money and the ethos.

The problem is the longer we dither in the transfer market all that will be left is the unfit and over priced, no one else wants.

The club have know since January we needed a striker even with the embargo, we should have had a short list of players, but it just feels like once again we are months behind every other team in planning.

Then 5 games gone no win, sloppy goal conceded near the bottom of the league, it will be the managers head people are calling for, not the muppet orchestrating this joke of a club.

We always seem to never take a gamble on this sort of player - hope we do make a move for him. Would be ideal with 2 pacey winger/forwards either side of him.

We are not allowed to pay fees for player so unless he is a free agent or loan it will never happen.

Yeah so do I but I doubt it because he’ll cost a fee. Probably looking at near 1m. We won’t be able to afford.

We needed a striker since we released Nuhiu and Fletcher this time last year.

We tried for Zohore on loan, panicked and ended up with Marriott - who was pants.

Windass and Paterson aren’t proper centre forwards. Horribly and disgracefully neglected area of the pitch, which relegated us last season.

Problem is, there isn’t much out there. It’s wide knowledge we can’t pay a fee. So we’re more or less looking at Premier League/Championship loans. Prem loans normally happen towards the end of the window when clubs finalise their 23 man squad. So any movement on strikers I reckon will be late in the window, probably deadline day. Which isn’t ideal.

Don’t really fancy any of the free agents. I’d take Lee Gregory as he can hold the ball up nicely. And maybe Sam Vokes for experience. That’s it though.
