Resigning former players

Recommended Posts

John Merredith served the club well in his single appearance !

Kenny Branagan wasa star for us too.

Good old John Beswetherick could have gone on to great things as a Scallop fisherman.

Andy Burgin I think had a couple of Cup Games against Everton. Steve Downes plenty of games but waste of Space.

Dougie MacMillan was a good centre half with a few games under his belt. He lost a leg on the return journey coach crash of an away fixture. poss Burnley.

Best cb partnership we've had in my lifetime, Pearson & Shirtliff, no nonsense and tough as old boots.

Des Walker and Emerson Thome was not a bad pairing, shame it didnt last longer.

they  conceded 40 goals in the last 16 games together and we were bottom of the league,  and you wanted it to last longer .
