Sky sports news - Barry Bannan on his way for £1 Million

Recommended Posts

Done us a favour..

DC said...sign here Baz...a £3m clause if relegated.

Baz said get foooked..£1m or I'm signing FA. Then I go for free.

We / chansiri had no choice.

Shame, he'd have been ok in Div 1.

There wouldn't have been a queue to buy him for £3m in any case.

Reckon we are down around 500k from his true worth..so not that bad considering we would have got FA...like i say he did us a favour.

....and tbh he looked good here cos comparitively with most team mates he was a ginger Messi.

Darren Moore has come out and said he knows nothing about this rumour of anyone being after Bannan or him going.

That's a RELEGATION clause

Not a £1million release clause

pits looking like yet another media generated story.

Or agent generated?

I’d rather we kept our best players but if selling Bannan allows us to improve the squad overall and it’s invested in quality young players then it might be best for all parties.

If we can sign a good young midfielder, and most importantly a competent keeper with the money, then I’d take it.

Would wish him well unless he joins Shaw and Urhoghide at his boyhood club.

To be fair anyone thinking we were getting promoted this season was totally deluded anyway.

No delusions from me.  We’re a basket case.

I’ve been more or less right about 95% of my predictions and fears during the DC era.  And I’ve been abused many times on here for being vocal about my doubts and concerns - most of which ended up being bang on the money - much to my horror.

But if the best anyone can up with, in support of this potential transfer, is:

We’ll be crap even if we hold onto Bannan.

Then it’s hardly a ringing endorsement.

Hate everything about this if it happens.

If he has such a modest release clause, there are bound to be takers BUT he appears to be on good wage and that will limit who comes in for him.

If he is to go, then do it now rather than DM building plans around him being here, then unpicking it all in August.

Does he want to beat the first man from a corner?

No, as he will no doubt get sent off!!!

Presumably Bannan waited to see if the club were going to bring players in and try and get promoted. 2 weeks before the start of the season, we need a keeper, two strikers, energy in the middle of the park and something on the wings and that just for the first 11.

The club are once again trying to do it on the cheap  while charging the highest prices in the league. So Bannan probably thought feck this i am off to a club that wants to challenge not be happy to tread water.
