Needs to be a big change with social media, more accountability, registration with proof of name and address, twitter is just a free for all.

Noticed Windass just posted links to another site that does just this, but twitter is just to big now,

Said this for a few years now ...

Accountability. Verification

Its the only way to clamp out fake accounts, bots, twitter trolls etc ..

some of the stuff that's been posted in the last couple of years, as social media becomes more prevalent and gives those vile beings a voice is absolutely horrific and people get away with it .. more action is being taken but there is still plenty to be done ...

A university has withdrawn an offer to a student following racist abuse towards England players after the Euro 2020 final.

Video footage from a Snapchat group chat circulated on Instagram, with one individual heard using racist language towards Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka, who each missed penalties in the shootout at Wembley.

A spokesperson from Nottingham Trent University said: "This allegation does not involve an NTU student. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination, including racism.

"We looked into this matter immediately and as a result have withdrawn an offer to an applicant."

Just a bloke. Being dragged along in a world that moves too quick for it's own good.

Here we go again.

This time on the continent.

FIFA should be held accountable for this. The Hungarians are banned from attending the stadium in all UEFA competitions. Why haven’t FIFA extended that ban to their own competition in a show of solidarity?

UEFA: Naughty Racist Hungarians. No fans at your next few home games.

FIFA: You weren’t racist at one of our games, don’t worry about it, get yourself in lads.

Sends a fantastic message.

FIFA will spout the same unity testicles that they always come out with. If they really mean it, they’d change legislation which means that any nations fans are banned from ALL football matches if an authority finds them guilty of racial abuse.

Just ridiculous as usual. How simple would it be to just issue points deductions to nations like these. Fines and stadiums bans are complete token gestures. Dock them points and this stuff would begin to end if it was the difference between qualifying for a tournament or not.

Stadium bans should absolutely be used, I do agree though, they don’t go far enough.

They should be kicked out of the competition; the Hungarian F.A. and Government simply don't care and virtually encourage it.

FIFA Aren't bothered either, like the social media companies they just come out with sound bites.

I also believe to stop taking the knee gives in to these scumbags and the organisations that protect them.

I doubt it would.

More likely they would close ranks and start moaning about having decadent Western liberal values imposed on them.

And then FIFA might lose some funding and they can't have that!

That's why they will only ever punish countries where the populace and government generally agree that racism/homophobia/whatever is bad.

The world cup being in Russia and then Qatar is more than enough proof that FIFA dont actually give a throw about actually championing any real values.

When we took the knee last night was one of my highlights of the game. To see the pain and hurt in those racist shitbags faces was tremendous.

UEFA and FIFA need to stop dicking about, deduct some points, close off grounds for a year, make them play their home games in Africa for a bit. Do something that is going to actually upset the team/country/fans that do it.
