Dennis Adeniran - Here's what he can do

Wouldn't say that highlights reel makes him look anything special. I watched U-23 game from season before last and thought he looked promising.

Don't like that we seem to be adding to central midfield without solving our play making problems (key role to sort out).

Do we really need Adeniran, Luongo, Hutch, Dele Bashiru, Waldock (even Glover). To fight for same spot in our starting 11?!

If we play a 4231 then I imagine from your list it's likely Luongo & Adreniran. Big question marks over Luongo both in terms of fitness/injury or if he stays, I believe he's on a more sensible salary so I hope he stays, whether he is upto 40 odd games this year is more questionable. I'd hope that Baldock would get a chance as he sounds like he fits that role nicely. FDB lacks positional awareness IMO. Hutch doesn't have the legs. Glover I'm unsure of his skillset or how ready he is to step up.

I'm glad you didn't include Bannan as he is nowhere near competent to play that position.

Whilst I agree we have other glaring gaps in the team, the heart of the midfield IMO is where we lost many a game last year. It's too pedestrian, too one dimensional, lacks all round football capability with specialists in certain areas but lacking what I would consider central midfielder qualities... pass, tackle, head, run... sounds basic but other than Luongo and Shaw (he was raw mind) we don't have anyone.

I'm hopeful that we can have our main creativity from the three behind the striker. Green, I think will be a sensation with a preseason and licences to thrill on the left. Windass I guess is gone - not sure how up to it Hagen would be with the injury last term, not sure Bannan or Hunt can play the central role but where else do we use them?

Personelly I hope we cash in on Bannan and Windass and find a right winger and number 10 that can give us flare, creativity, pace....

Everton paid 4m for not so long ago for free!!!

Everton paid nowhere near £4M for him. That was the deal could have been worth but it was based on future appearances etc. Seeing as he never played for the first team, he will have ended up costing far less.

For a moment let me just answer on play making problems in our squad. Hunt is the only one who played that position before and done well, but that was for our underage squads.

As We've seen last season although he is good on the ball he doesn't read game well and can't defend 1 on 1 against anyone. At underage level he had Waldock next to him who did lions share of hard work and let him concencentrate on fancy stuff. Don't think he will get away with it at first team level.

I would much rather try Waldock there although I would never described him as a play maker. If we are to play how Moore did at Doncaster it is key position to "solve".

Marc Leonard - if we can pay compensation fee and get him to come here would be perfect.

Aaron Morley - knows the role inside out and wouldn't cost much from Rochdale. Would sort our set piece taking problems as well.

Callum Slattery - in last year of his contract with Southampton. Tacticly superb, not amazing passer of the ball as other two but very inteligent and reads game well helping him protecting back 4 as well as starting our attacks.

He seems fearless. A deft touch, clever passes and knows how to shield the ball. Not much of an end product, but we rarely get the full package at Wednesday. Young enough to develop that side of things though. I like what I saw.

Any body else think Carlton Palmer

Yes. That certainly came to my mind too.

Effortless running from box to box of the type we’ve lacked for years. Looks a bit  awkward at times but the type of player Moore can surely work with and improve.

I always thought Necj Pecnik and his YouTube video would take some beating.

Remember Daniel Jones looked like Gareth Bale in clips before he joined us too. Who was the other guy with the hair too? Amado or something? And Uchechi.

I think there's nothing wrong with getting excited over a YouTube montage etc

After all it's highlights from a game we love and get excited by so I think it's ok to let our imaginations run wild a bit when watching them

I'd love him to be in our first team based on what I've seen and read - hope it happens

He can cut out the simple stuff though.

Don't want him winning the ball and giving out a simple pass and moving into space.

I have a similar worry. He moves so effortlessly and quickly from defence to attack that I fear he leaves some of our more pedestrian players for dead and becomes isolated.

Can you imagine having a team full of players able to pass, move, run, tackle... oh my! How have we missed this as a strategy for so long!

Radical thought, get rid of the pedestrian players and get quick energetic players to replace them.

We need a completely different type of team if we are going to get out of this league. It might take a while to get the right players but we already knew that.
