I'll also say that Urhoghide went running becuase he knew he wouldn't get in the squad over a fit Iorfa and Dunkley. Weak.

Of course he did.  That's why he went to Celtic, who don't have any players better than Chey ******** Dunkley.

Disgusting. No wonder clubs below the Premier League are on their knees. Big clubs take players for a pittance, albeit under certain circumstances.

It seems the only way to make money off a transfer is to sell while under contract, which is not always possible.

So for our 3 young prospects, Hirst, Shaw and Urhoghide we’ve got about £500k, football really is broken.

Not footballs fault. Bad decisions at the top. Not offering enough to keep them or not selling early enough, maybe not giving long enough contracts. Take your pick. Other clubs do ok.

Who's the 3?

The forward that couldn't get a game at relegated Rotherham?

The defender that got ripped a new one in many of the games he played?

The midfielder that left us with 10 men in a good majority of the games he started?

£150k for Urhoghide is great business for us

lol

Whisper all this very quietly.

Any young players that leave here are destined to be a future Ballon D Or winners.

I was on about Liam shaw who’s gone to Celtic with Uroghide you plant pot

Hirst I don’t think could get a free transfer to league 2 at present the lad looks completely out of his depth in the Mr leagues

If you meant Shaw then you should have said so instead of "There’s no reasons to think any of those players couldn’t command 8million a piece"

You may have missed the story about us rejecting a £2m offer for Hirst before he left for nothing soon after?

And as Celtic, Leeds, Palace, Watford and SP Lisbon were the clubs chasing Urhoghide the fact you are happy to get £150k for him is a bit odd to me but Chansiri probably thinks the same the way he is running this football club.

Meh, club's rolling in money, we don't need other clubs to pay market value for our youngsters, they'll probably turn out to be s#it anyway /sarcasm

It’s not footballs fault. It’s that plonker of an owner we have to blame. Other clubs are capable of selling their youngsters for millions so why can’t we

I’d be interested to hear which other clubs have sold youngsters for millions who’ve gone on to do absolutely nothing

It doesn't matter what they go on to do, it matters that Shaw, Hirst and Uroghide were in demand from bigger, wealthier clubs, and we made next to nothing from them.

Other clubs saw value in them and at that moment, we failed to get value for them.  We obviously saw some talent in all three when they played for us.  When you can't pay wages, are in an embargo, have to fit your finances to a particular model of sustainability, every penny counts.  We just let them walk out of the door.

If you were a pig you would laugh that our best 3 young players in the last couple of years have all chosen to leave and go to non-English based sides so we get little compensation.

As a non pig I hope Chansiri sells the club very soon. He is killing this once great club with his negligence and I wish he never bought the club.

cant agree more, hes a 2nd gen rich kid with no clue

Biggest tragedy is that we got even less for Conor Grant.

You’d like to hope theirs some sort of buyback or sell on clause on that one though? Just didn’t make sense otherwise?

It massively matters

Leicester saw value in Hirst and got it wrong - big time

if we’d have seen the same value in him we’d have rolled over to his demands and paid for it - the cost of his wages for 4 or 5 years could have dwarfed any loss in transfer fee.

same goes for Shaw and Urhoghide......this isn’t a case of we got £150k when we could have got several million - in order to get more than £150k we would have had to tie ourselves to lengthy contracts on decent money.....and there is no evidence so far that either would have been worth it

Taking into account that we turned down 2 million for him your statement is complete nonsense. At that point any fool could have seen it was over and we needed to sell whilst the money was on the table.
