Trying to blame someone else. Do you have Scouse blood in you.

It's not about "blame" though if it's the truth. That bloody Gibson!

But had Milan stayed in charge, we had a hard working team than finished midtable, most seasons, got a few good loans in and sold our best players, would we have missed the years of turmoil, fines, points deductions, fans banned from the stands, fans priced out of football and others ripped of. Oh and now being homeless, relegated and 2 players in contract over 12 months.

All for 1 match at Wembley

the efl just sound like bully boys, every club had a budget and players on contracts when they had an income coming in , is it any wonder why so many clubs are struggling to pay wages etc. this isnt to deflect the absolute mess chansiri has done. he gambled our future 5 years ago he stuck in all the money on a roulette table to try to please his son and get premier league at all costs . the efl should take out any action on certain owners not the supporters . a pathetic organisation

What exactly do the EFL want us to do. The damage was done four years ago. The squad size and wage bill has been reduced in every transfer window. DC got us in this mess but the EFL are fizz wits!

But not reduced enough, and the longer we didn't do enough, the worse we did.

Failure to sell players on big money will haunt us for years.  This is like most debt, easy to run up, takes much longer to pay back and return to normal.

Mid-table most seasons?

We finished 18th. 16th and 13th. We were losing £5M a season with a bottom 6 budget that Mandaric said himself he could not continue to maintain. Where is the evidence of selling our best players effectively? We sold Antonio for way below value.

Regardless of our issues and who’s responsible for them, it has to be said that we are in the middle of a pandemic and most if not all clubs have had next to no income for the best part of 18 months yet still have to fulfil their financial obligations? Something has to give?

I know what’s coming in response to this but let’s be honest there’s been a bit of vendetta against both us and Derby. We’re the ones where the bad publicity is out in the open for all to see when I’m certain there are other clubs having problems, there has to be but you don’t hear about them?

A combination of the EFL’s continued actions as well as ours/others are going to send clubs to the wall? Personally I think both us and Derby should stick 2 fingers up at the EFL and try and launch a breakaway, it might be the only way us and some other clubs survive as you can’t keep getting lynched all the time as the EFL is doing to us. We’ve already been relegated due to a punishment, basically the EFL want us out of the League altogether?

so so agree.

Don't forget borrowing £2m from that bloke called Terry which was secured against the ground he needed to fund that. But of course Milan was the best chairman ever and definitely not only in it for how much profit he could make for himself.

league two, followed by national league and below in coming in the next 5 seasons for Wednesday,

People laugh at your post but I have thought for some time that DC will take us to league 2 and possibly, beyond. We may not even have a club by the time he's done.

You agree with Jim that Chansiri is blameless and that there is a secret plot against Derby and Sheffield Wednesday and that they have a spiteful vendetta that they are unleashing on both clubs to teach them a lesson??

You ‘so so agree’ with THAT???

REALLY!???

Can't believe the amount of posts in this thread trying to pass the blame onto the EFL for Chansiri breaking the rules that were in place that EVERY club should adhere to.

There are about 200+ posts in this thread.

Don't think many are trying to pass the blame or absolving the owner of responsibility and those that are come from the same couple of posters.

The EFL rules are not doing the job they were designed to do but our financial mismanagement is not their fault.

Maybe the only way Chansiri will sell up … is if the EFL constantly keep on his back … admittedly us the fans will suffer in the short term .. but if the EFL show Chansiri for the corrupt inept owner he is ..and Thai culture don’t like themselves to be shown as being useless…. Maybe the EFL might save us

Yes.

It's the EFL's fault that Chansiri is not fit and proper to run a football club.  Not Chansiri at all.  He is blameless...

I’m not bothering next season if we’re lumped with another points deduction. Use the true fan argument all you want I don’t care, the chairman has killed any feeling for me

Not merely the owner but the whole bureaucratic b****t. It’s not sport anymore, it’s politics.

Not to mention Mandaric losing the stadium, consistently losing players for nothing, losing £3m a month, getting us relegated, getting us into numerous embargoes, getting us points deducted, running us as a dictatorship and accumulating debts of £200m in 5 years
