Imagine the plot twist if it turns out that Paxo has been the one actually insisting on the more common sense things our club has done the last 5 years and that once he's gone and Channers is free to run riot that things get worse...

Somewhere a screen writer is busy scribbling away.

How would you know? Once (or if) Paixao finally departs, he will simply become the new target for Chansiri blame deflection.

I’m intrigued by the parallels between Wednesday and derby.

Chansiri seems to be universally loathed for catastrophic mismanagement and is openly criticised.

He is OUTSIDE of the Sheffield Wednesday fanbase, but inside of it some of our fans still mysteriously back him

It's sooooo odd

If what Frostick reported last month is true, that may well be the case...

Since 2019, the recruitment team has been made up of David Downes and Dean Hughes, who were brought in by Bruce during his five-month reign. Paixao remains the only identifiable advisor and, like Downes and Hughes, has been described by industry sources as “well-linked” and “skilled”.

Sources have labelled Paixao, a former agent, “like a big teddy bear” and rate him highly, with others who have worked with the club saying that he is a “good guy” who works under considerable pressure. He fields calls from Chansiri into the early hours of the morning and has to pivot between transfer targets on the instructions of the owner based on financial decisions and the recommendations of the transfer committee.

Others describe Paixao as the go-between and a nice guy who understood the scale of the problems but was unlikely to push to change things or ruffle feathers given his position.

"sources" describe him as a teddy bear, "others" describe him as a nice guy.

Still nobody explains precicely what he does.

If these sources are players then no wonder they think he is a nice guy, he has helped to get them long contracts on good money at the end of their careers in many cases.

As a club we have lost multi millions and have had to sell the stadium during his time at the club, mainly as a result of transfer policy and salaries. He has been the main advisor on transfers throughout this time.

Nice bloke though.

DC has two choices:

  1. Change his previously failing approach, which included his trust and relationship with Paxo. Restructure the club to resemble a normal set up and try to re-build.
  2. Sell up and prevent further monthly debt to him and his family.

Carrying on in some king Canute style is damaging the club, the fans, him and his family. Surely he now sees this. It would be totally illogical for him to carry on with the failed approach.

Whilst his pride has clearly resisted change until now, I trust his family have stepped in to remind him that he's on his own financially speaking, and for him to learn lessons of how an English-based football club should be run.

This would be decent news, one step towards recovering the damage caused. Still a long way to go.

What does Paxo do? How much did Chansiri act on his advice? How will things change?  Chansiri is to blame 100%.

Think you've  misspelled that mate, or was it to get round the swear filter? Either way, I know what you mean, yes a total canute!

Thinking about this, it could be a sign that there is truth that the Moore, Chansiri relationship is flourishing and he is prepared to trust him a lot more than previous managers.

Totally agree with this. We’ll get a sign of whether this is the case when/if we start to sign new players?

Totally expecting players to be sold before the end of this window perhaps really for the first time under DC?

Good advice is only good when it’s acted upon.

There is also a very good chance that all of the above is b*ll**ks?

I'd go for this one. Though the words would befit any normal club, and Sir, are eloquently written, Thank you.

I am the club, i am not normal :Chansiri:

We also need some players, that would really help lol
