Good to see he is still focused and putting in the effort though and as you say, he could be an asset at the level we are now at. 

It's just simply down to tactics, you can't really afford to play both hobbits(hunt & bazza) in a central midfield without being overwhelmed in the middle, neither offers much protection to the back four, bazza can even be a hindrance as we know dropping too deep and getting in the way of CBs, so something it would be criminal to do when you can't keep clean sheets. Hence becouse bazza was excellent at staying fit and nearly playing every minute, hunt didn't get much of an opportunity.
