Some light at the end of the tunnel?

Recommended Posts

Good news there is some movement, but really it shouldn't have got to this point.

I made the point when Moore joined that his relationship with Chansiri is important so positive to hear it's still good. While I'd like a different owner, crucial the manager knows how to handle Chansiri. I don't think Moore is necessarily a yes man, but is intelligent, good man management skills and less confrontational than other managers.

So the update is there is no update, the account for 19/20 season are the reason we are under a transfer embargo, we have been told now for nearly 2 months these were due soon.

The wages issue is simply a disgrace of DC causing, there are 71 other club struggling because of covid, we had chances to sell players probably at reduced fees for the last 3 windows, we also had chance to get some high earners such as Rhodes out on loan in January, but those in charge decided not too.

Teams in our division are signing players now mostly free agents. We have signed none, with a first team squad for next season of just 12, it's not good enough, but under DC it is the same excuses every year.

There were issues because of the delays with last seasons accounts and the Hillsborough business - they didn't know which year it fell under. The embargo is also a bit odd because the actual government deadline isn't until the end of next month anyway. Coventry only just submitted theirs, and they didn't have the complications that we had. Just another thing that needs sorting though.

Wasn’t the accounting year in which the sale of Hillsborough ground took place clarified in the arbitration case?

Came in here to pretty much say this.

I'm afraid I'm at the point where I'm not convinced anything will improve in the long term really. One set of problems will be replaced by another whilever we are being run the way we are. The very basics aren't happening at Hillsborough at the moment. I honestly think if chansiri gave me free reign and his money I could improve things down there in a month just by employing people to do certain Jobs and make decisions. I feel so sorry for the staff at the moment. Players I have less sympathy for in some respects but that's cis I've still got the face on with em for being crap last season.

I mean it seems so simple doesn't it. Hire specialists, listen to people with more knowledge. Learn from your mistakes

I read a statement by Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mchelhenny last week the "Hollywood" owners of Wrexham and I couldnt  help but feel a little jealous, they're doing all the right things, both have said they know nothing about football and have hired people such as Les Reed to run the club.

You know what I would love to ask Chansiri?

"If this is how you treat high profile, highly paid employees, just how do you treat the shift workers in your factories?"

But maybe I'm going left wing as I get older.

It does make you think doesn't it. Although he may well see an employee as an employee regardless.

It always makes me laugh how common human decency and justice are regarded as being left wing. Well tbh it makes me cry but I'm sure you get what I mean.

I agree 100%. What is important is not what you know but to be aware of what you don’t know.  To be successful you surround yourself with people who know what they are doing.

The fact Chansiri was ever in contact with the dreamer Erick Alonso says it all!

Darren Moore is one of the most likeable blokes in football,  nobody has a bad word for him., even DC couldn't fk that one up.......who's holding his beer? But indeed good news about the wages.

Blimey, light at the end of the tunnel because SOME money that was due months ago is FILTERING THROUGH to SOME of those owed. Not exactly a ringing endorsement of the way the club is being run is it?
What happened?  Two more refunds paid out?  Funds released to pay the programme sellers.

I'm jealous of pretty much any club that is run with the minimum of competency at the moment. If chansiri was a lifelong pig fan who had taken over with the intention of ruining us I wouldn't be surprised at the moment. What he is doing makes no sense whatsoever. He's losing money at a terrifying rate and isn't doing anything to stop it happening. It makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever, I'm actually scared there's summat really dodgy going on because the level of incompetence being shown doesn't seem possible.

If Moore can keep Chansiri interested and engaged in the club, we have a fighting chance going forward. I’m sure Chansiri has hankered for the days of the relationship he had with Carlos. He simply hasn’t had it with anyone else perhaps until now?

Moore is key to our future, I really believe that. If he walks we are well and truly done for?

No you’re right. I was thinking that after I said it. It’s not left wing. The same as being anti racism isn’t political.

I can’t get excited tho

Both of those things happen as standard at every other football club in the entire world

Every?  Is this the same as your international famed prophecies?  lol   Least it's a little bit of good news.

I'm not getting excited either, just a little giddy.

I'd say every football club pretty much pays its players and submits it's accounts on time. Basics that don't seem to happen at our club. Chansiri isn't making any sense to me with what he is doing.
