Many are criminally prosecuted for late filing of accounts to this extent?

Don't think so.

Persistent or non filing.

Why did you think law on books?

Many are. Why is he different, and has terrible compliance history.

Sheffield 3 ltd accounts also late.

Whats the fascination with sheffield 3 accounts they own the ground we play in, not a football team registered with the EFL, they could never file any accounts and no one would care and ir would affect no one.

The problem is the same one we have had for the last 4 years the financial information needs filing with the efl before 31st March each season. We have failed to do this in multiple years.

As soon as its done the embargo will be lifted, but as long as the embargo is not lifted DC has a ready made excuse for not signing any players.

a) How do you know when the accounts were filed with the EFL - there is no record.

b) There is only 1 time that the accounts have not been filed before 31 March at Companies House not 4.

c) We are not under an Embargo because we havent broken any rules, the accounts arent due yet.

d) The reason we havent signed anyone yet is because most clubs dont sign anyone until after 30 June that is why other local clubs like the pigs and Rotherham havent signed anyone and the same reason Man U, Man City and Liverpool havent.

That is the point.

We have not complied with the EFL rule regarding submission, to them, of the accounts. So we are under embargo.

We have not broken any HMRC rule in this respect (Yet).

The EFL Rule says League 1 cubs - by the time they are due at Companies House .

We are a League 1 club and they are not due at Companies House.

So which rule have we broken.

We were a Championship club at the time the accounts were due to be provided to the EFL.

The manager was asked direct questions about it here:

Surely if we were not under an embargo he would have said so.

Yes as a Championship side, which we were when the article was written we were in breach of the rules re 1 March and therefore it is fair to assume we were placed under an embargo then.

BUT

we are a League 1 club and the rule states by the time they are due for filing at Companies House which isnt until 30 July therefore we havent broken any rule.

Again this was when we were a Championship club and Moore actually says he hasnt spoken to the chairman about it.

Am I missing something? Why would an embargo put in place due to late filing of accounts be affected by which division we're in?

Also there are ample, more recent articles on the web where local journos talk about us being under an embargo. Whatever you think of them, I'm pretty sure if we weren't that would be an easy accusation to rebuff?

I really don't think the EFL are going to remove an embargo they made for one of their clubs on the basis that they were later relegated as they are still under their jurisdiction.

So you seriously think that as of April we were in breach of the rules due to being in the Championship but due to be relegated we immediately apply League One rules to this rather than changing when the new season starts?

That's how you think it works? So relegation worked in our favour in this respect. Good grief.
