Sheffield Wednesday players become free agents if not paid in full for TWO consecutive months

You seem to be trying to imply that just because something is reported then it will be immediately actioned

Which isn't the case

Obviously

A whole month after they could have actioned it is not immediately.

As stated, the players in the main are not supportive of this approach. You seem to be ignoring this.

Thought it was reported today that we are now in the 3rd consecutive month of non-payments?

Why are they still here?

Cos new footy contracts start 1 July?

All eligible for freebies now. Nice.

Exactly

That's why I was saying that even if Chansiri does cough up what he owes them they might already have sorted new clubs and are ready to clear off in July

It’s definitely local.

There’s loads of slating of this club on OwlsTalk. (Big clue.)

That seems to be OK though; you just can’t slate journalists no matter what they say or don’t say.

Just seems an oddly strong stance on journalists when this particular local club and its owner aren’t afforded the same protection.

I know it's easier to pretend there is a massive conspiracy against the club rather than face up to the cold hard truth of the desperate state Chansiri has got the club into.

But it's past time to wake up now.

So if we pay them right now would they still be able to walk away because we have missed/underpaid for three straight months? If they announce to the club that they’re leaving and their agents have negotiated a deal with another club if we pay them is that deal then null and void?

They can agree deals before that.

As reported yesterday, most of the players are against walking away from their contract.

This news stills seems to be largely ignored.

And as free agents , he has to pay them to end July if not signed for another outfit.

For cash flow , buying clubs may wait until then before signing, though Josh and Baz I guess will be snapped up asap.

Nightmare. How does Daz plan?

Most don't want to though - as reported by The Athletic yesterday.

This particular new still seems to be ignored by some.

Despite everything going wrong, Sheffield Wednesday must be a pull on players of a certain ability.   A lot of players who have left only post positive things, despite never us hitting the big time with them.

It's not as bad a city as people make out either, look at how many Uni students end up staying and putting roots down in Sheffield.

I’m confused this is a second thread iv seen where iv seen people say we’re criticising the chairman not the club, so am I right in thinking we’re not allowed to criticise the club ?

we are crap though and entitled to opinion, our club is terrible and bad example of how not to run a business

But some probably will

Possibly, that will be another sorry episode if it does happen and it should never get to that stage.

As you said yourself though, they are all entitled to do so if the club fail to honour their contracts and nobody should really hold it against them if it gets to the stage that they choose to do so.

However, the fact that the majority of players are currently choosing not to, are not happy that others have looked into this and are understanding and sympathetic to the owner on this, is both surprising and at least a bit encouraging.

Hope the 2 goalies , Palmer, and Paterson are the first to walk out. They will never find a club as stupid as ours

We'd still have to pay them.
