If they announce to the club that they’re leaving and their agents have negotiated a deal with another club if we pay them is that deal then null and void? Why are they still here? Despite everything going wrong, Sheffield Wednesday must be a pull on players of a certain ability. A lot of players who have left only post positive things, despite never us hitting the big time with them. As you said yourself though, they are all entitled to do so if the club fail to honour their contracts and nobody should really hold it against them if it gets to the stage that they choose to do so. However, the fact that the majority of players are currently choosing not to, are not happy that others have looked into this and are understanding and sympathetic to the owner on this, is both surprising and at least a bit encouraging.
