Summer Cricket 2021

Australia also battered New Zealand when they came over here a couple of years ago. Luckily we haven’t played Tests over there for them to return the favour.

England need a fit Mark Wood and Jofra Archer to have any hope in the Ashes. Unless the reason your batting looks so shît is because they’re all actually experts on fast bouncy pitches.

Worryingly weve got  the tests against an equally stiff bowling attack v India to put things right and get some confidence back before they go to Oz, big task for the coaches.

Other thing I noticed was NZ pitched it a good yard further up the track than us and got it to swing, so what were our bowlers watching while that was going on?

NZ seem to have a quality replacement for every single player in the side,so when someones off colour theres another chomping at the bit to replace them, we cant match that

Great game of T20 at Headingley last night

Yorkshire smashed 240 to set Leicestershire little or no chance of winning

To be fair to Leicester they had a real go and only came up 18 runs short

Lots of boundaries, a worldie of a catch and a nice warm evening. Very good night

Sri Lanka have looked rubbish today. Pretty sure we bowled to make sure the game would be over before the football starts later. If we had batted first and got a lot they might have blocked out for 50 overs.

Only really got drawn into cricket after watching that incredible world cup final. But not missed any England game of any format since. Not watched any domestic cricket though but considering getting tickets too The 100.

Anyone ever been, or going?

I would rather wash my eyes out with bleach than watch that abomination.

Just out of interest, why do you hate it so much?

Quite enjoy the international T20 so assumed this might be a similar paced, aggressive game?

Not a fan of T20 for starters but at least the domestic T20 blast has some connection with the historic 18 First class counties.

Really, really cant stand the fireworks and loud pop music of the current T20 and the 100 will be worse.

Think many supporters of the smaller counties (Derbyshire, Northants, Leicestershire) believe they will be squeezed out of the professional game by this competition.
100 takes away the best county players during the peak summer months leaving behind a shell of the County 50 over competition taking place at the same time.

Think some have called the 100 Competition as Domestic Crickets Brexit and it has caused a lot of bad blood.

Watching the 100 and there's a music concert between innings. What is going on? It all feels so American and like they ordered the Superbowl from Wish
