Sheffield Wednesday linked with new goalkeeper

It’s believed that Sheffield Wednesday and former boss Darren Moore - who will come up against Cheltenham in League One next term after suffering relegation from the Championship - are keeping an eye on Josh Griffiths’ availability after they parted with first choice stopper Keiron Westwood at the end of the campaign.

Moore will be familiar with Griffiths and aware of his ability from his own time at The Hawthorns, but the potential - if Albion allowed it - of him returning to Cheltenham possesses its own obvious benefits for the player.

Had a great season at Cheltenham and would be a good move to for us.

"Hi Josh welcome to Hillsborough.

Your team mates?

They've fizzed off after we didn't pay them for 3 months?

It'll just be you vs 11 first game of the season mate, try and keep it to single figure yeah?"

It's a shame we are in such a mess financially because I would have suggested we should have gone in for Jordan Archer, ex Millwall keeper who got released by Boro. Think throwing in a young teenage lad between the sticks is very risky business in my opinion.
