Bit late in the day. Feels like we're a out to go cap in hand to the fans to keep us afloat

Just to point out that we are paying out more in players wages than we are getting in income, even more so this season. So its the chairman who writes the cheque from his bank account every month. Obviously not always on time recently.

If he doesnt keep stumping up we would go into admin.

The fans won't be filling the cap mate. We would need a masochistic buyer with deep pockets.

This isn't a comment on his competence. Its just fact.

So did Chansiri suggest this? Or the new Chief Operating Officer?

You would think the new COO.

But obviously its Chansiri now micro managing stuff from Thailand on zoom because thats what fits the narrative.

The 'new' COO isn't new at all.  He is an internal hire, bumped up in job title to try and take some of the pressure off Chansiri.

Imagine having to find a quarter of a million pounds just to pay Westwood and Rhodes for the next MONTH..having seen Rhodes happily pose wi5h his udders shirt havin signed a 3 year deal...and Westwood could even trouser another 3 weeks wages (75k) in July if he dosnt get fixed up...

Everybody on this forum is bound by the same common interest and desire. A love of Sheffield Wednesday and the best interests of the football club.

Unfortunately, the overwhelming evidence is that being pro-Chansiri is no longer compatible. It can’t be. There isn’t a defence left in favour of Chansiri or under the context of what’s best for SWFC.

Like i said in another thread, DC represents a challenge to what SWFC even is to us or what that love looks like. If it’s the material things like the badge (that he’s changed), the kit (that he’s toyed around with) or the stadium (that he’s plastered his name allover), then people need to start coming to terms with losing it. Those things are his now, to be handed to his son.

There is zero chance of there being anything left for him to 'hand' to his son.

Maybe consider that players are tax payers too. 50% of their millions to be precise.

Your missing the point mate,of course they are tax payers if on PAYE..thats not the issue, its not the players wanting furlough, its the Employer.!!still doesnt make it right, the whole point of being a football chairman and Club owner and agreeing these wages,is that you can afford to pay them.

HM Govt should not be baling out Football Clubs,to pay people 30 or 40 grand a week its not what its there for

To be fair though maybe we could have afforded them more if we were able to get crowds in and get income...  But seeing as we havent been able to do that, the government furlough was to help companies (Yes SWFC is a company) that have had their income affected by the pandemic.

I dont see how this is a story, SWFC is the employer if they want to put people on furlough and it is allowed just like every other employee that has had to go on furlough and had not choice but these over paid useless players think they are better than that, better than the rest of us....  After the season they have just played they should be hanging their heads in shame.
