I've looked into it and I can't find any reasoning for why the restrictions on squad size has been imposed. Does it actually help or hinder a team? The Night-Owl Posted May 24, 2021 Share Posted May 24, 2021 The restrictions and squad sizes doesn't include young players, I think players around 21 and under aren't counted in the squad size total. Players like Dunkley are a bit of a liability. Agree. But, in a sense L1 has much more sensible financial controls that the car crash which the championship operates under. There is a limit on wages to revenue, however owners can donate money to count as revenue if the club wants to spend more. Yes, there is a limit on squad size, but if clubs run out of players they are encouraged to give young players a game.
