It does mean that there are several options 1) he stays and plays 2) he leaves for a fee 3) he leaves on loan for a fee and his wages are covered 4) he stays doesn't play and runs down his contract. we all know the wednesday way this plays out right? If Brentford reignite their interest with a similar offer as last year, Wednesday may be more receptive this time. Not a lot of money kicking about in the championship still.
