Bluesteel
Didn’t they come up on a technicality? They can’t expect to stay up using one too 1
HighworthOwl
It’s only fair that Derby get -21. 2 points taken from this season then 19 taken off them next season in league one. Failing that the slate should be wiped clean for all teams so they get none this year and we get out minus 6 back.
Bazza
As I understand it the appeal results are final and cannot be appealed. This was also the case when our penalty was reduced to 6 points. So any talk of derby appealing the appeal result doesn’t make sense. What makes even less sense is the EFL appealed the original derby decision within a week or so of us appealing ours. There is no logical reason for it taking this long given our appeal was resolved so long ago. Something is very wrong about the whole situation. Any derby penalty at appeal should and could have been applied this season around the same time ours was cut to 6points.

In ironinic twist it appears that Middleborough by trying to get involved caused the delay in the appeal which could end up having saved Derby from relegation. Wednesday Fan
On a selfish note I think we’ve got a better chance of beating Wycombe in L1 than a strengthened Derby team. ........Still think they’re cheats though and Rooney stinks of kippers!!!!! Guest
I miss the days when teams got relegated because they was the worst 3 teams in the league not because they have dodgy chairman that the EFL allowed to buy these clubs The only people who suffer are the fans It stinks 4

WalthamOwl
Wonder what would have happened if we finished 3rd from bottom instead of bottom of the bloody league.
Mickjj
Didn't Macclesfield get there points deducted after the season had finished??
Vaughan
Parachute payments should be taken away from relegated clubs and replaced with a mechanism for players wages for relegated clubs to be subsidised. PP are supposed to cushion the blow of relegation when clubs are committed to player contracts etc. They are not designed to be spunked on signing new players for huge sums on vast wages. They should not be allowed to be used to finance a new promotion push.
swafty
I'd rather go down with Rotherham and Wycombe thanks, leave it until next year when we've been promoted.

This ridiculous cycle needs to stop its over riding results made on the pitch, its unfair. EFL need to find alternative sanctions against owners , otherwise we are going to have league positions determined by the courts. Its a mess. As opposed to league positions determined by how minted clubs / owners are or who has the best accountant?

el burro
How do Wycombe deserve to stay up? Like us, Rotherham and Derby we all deserves to be in bottom 4 as over 46 games all teams were just not good enough. The table doesn’t lie.

Ownership of clubs requires government legislation, along the lines of German model? How many wealthy clubs in premier get points deductions!?
