I think he’s clearly someone who likes the attention at least. Put it this way our owner rejected his bid but Derby accepted it. Out of desperation. They are now a league higher but what is going on there is an example of an ownership situation we don’t want to be in whether we like DC/think he needs to go or not. mcmigo
Let’s face it . Next season is likely to be a total shambles. As per the athletic article, we will sign broken footballers with promises of good contracts, fail to pay them, sack the manager , hire another, sack that one, sign Hutchinson and Westwood again and be lucky to avoid dropping down again.

If he’s in Mel Morris desperation land it is far from ideal Well we are desperate for a new era here if you ask me ....chansiris one has run its course ...ran out of steam, didn't he once say if the fans don't want me I'll go?..that times come, get out, sell up and let someone else come and have a go, I have absolutely zero faith in him, not had much faith in him since I met him personally and he was telling me we would never be in trouble with the efl and that Boro and Derby would have poinst deducted - his own words, only he was the one who actually got a points deduction from his own incompetence.

I think a new era would be ideal, I don’t disagree. But what a lot of people are ignoring is that unless the new era has any substance it won’t do anything and could get worse. I’d rather we got a new era on favourable terms rather than getting to a point where the fans are desperate, owner is giving it away and any old chancer gets hold. We've just got relegated to the pub league , do you think next season will be like Hull City this season ? Most of the players are out of contract we need a new team ....and agents have to ask the press who to text because there is no organisation. Hillsborough must be like Pyongyang when you enter.

I guy I used to work with is a Portsmouth fan and he said the same in their era of demise. They kept selling to worse owners than the previous one. Hard to imagine many as incompetent as DC but plenty more corrupt. Hope he sells to good new owners or changes his ways. 1

striker
I'd like to think Chansiri's time was nearing an end, but to be realistic credible buyers aren't going to be attracted to a L1 club and even so the offer would not be considered by Chansiri. I think back to the Venky's at Blackburn, similarly incompetent and despised by fans but have since taken a step back and put a proper structure in place. Chansiri needs to put his big boy pants on, start acting like a grown up owner and run it like a professional football club. 1

I do think it could get worse yeah. It could get better also if someone else came in but as I say, there don’t seem many true white knights about at the moment. Having so many out of contract could be a positive as it allows us to get the budget where it needs to be. 150 players are out of contract in the championship alone, it’s not just a SWFC thing, football finance is going through a huge transition. So we need to see where the squad is at come august, hull haven’t had to spend loads. I remember a good squad of champ players coming down with irvine and bombing but the rebuild when they left allowed us to bring in league one ready players. In Moore we have a manager who knows who is decent at this level and younger players seem keen to play for him. But yes the set up here seems “messy” and it needs structure.

Maybe ‘force change’ would be a better way of putting it. No way would they put up with things like the ticket prices, points deductions due to miss management or selling the stadium like we have. They would mobilise like last weekend while we just accept it (myself included).

As a fan base we are apathetic and weak. Just not true though is it. Man United fans haven’t wanted the Glaziers since day one. Some fans were so disgusted they quit the club and set up FC United. But guess what, the Glaziers are still there. Fenway wasn’t wanted by Liverpool fans, they marched on the ground after the furlough scandal. Let me check, yep, still there.
