Most normal dads buy their kids the latest version of Football Manager for Christmas or birthdays.

But oh no, our chairman goes one better and let’s his kid ******** about with a real football club, one of the most historic names in the history of the game.

And neither of them have got the slightest clue. Unbelievable.

Even though we knew most of what’s been happening behind the scenes it’s horrible to read about it all.

I can think of lots and lots of other failing by chancer too. He’s a car crash of a chairman who could never be a fit and proper person to run any business never mind a football club.

I’m starting to think the only way to get rid of him would be for him to actually do something illegal and get banged up. But then again that probably wouldn’t mean he’d have to sell up would it….

He’d probably run us further into the ground via a burner phone and laptop in his cell. Our very own version of H as it were.

Excellent article, lots of extra stuff in here - and I think this shows the scale of the problem. Chansiri is losing £1.5 million per month due to his (and his son's!) decisions and management style. Only way they can turn around this is by hiring a proper management structure and letting them have control of the business. But with his money at stake and his wounded pride, does he have the sense to listen to anyone?

What happens if he pulls the plug on all the debts? Does he realise how sour things have turned in S6? He'll soon find out first time he returns to face the fans if not. Really concerning - don't think any prospective buyer is going to want to plug a £50 million plus hole in the Chansiri family finances.... could be getting into death of the football club territory in a few years if this continues.

He could do a Brighton and flog the ground to clear some of the debts.

It’s scandalous that one individual has the power to do this.

Time for proper regulation to safeguard football clubs as vital community assets and not standard businesses.

Also, more of a sidenote, but interesting to hear about Paixao in a different light. Other than just a bogeymen for the fans. Seems that rather than a benign influence, he's just another baffled person unable to persuade the Chairman to put a proper business strategy in place.

That surprised me when I read it.

Worth the ones insisting he's the evil one taking note

this drop to League One will see the activation of relegation clauses in several contracts. It is expected that some players will see their weekly wages drop by as much as 50 per cent next season.

Can't wait to see them really motivated
