I never met him  but reading the tributes here, he sounds like a great fella, a fun person to be with and a great Wednesdayite.  RIP Mick.

My first contact with Mick was after we had beaten Newcastle 4-2 in Wilko`s first season , i met a new girlfriend that night in the hole in the road and the first pub we went in was The Old Blue Bell..............big mistake , it was full of geordies who seemed hell bent on smashing the place up , and Mick was the lone bouncer, poor lad.

I remember a few years later he got a lift with us in a car through a friend of a friend for an away game at Notts County in Big Rons promotion season, spent the day with us and drinking beforehand.............was a lovely fella............RIP.
