One will be definitely playing in the Championship next season and the other quite possibly.

They could be joined with Jordan Thornily and Gary Madine

Sobering thought

Both are decent, hard-working pros. Both have had had good careers.

When you consider at various games this season at centre back we've had Joost van Aken, Liam Shaw, Moses Odubajo the still not fully convincing Chey Dunkley, they could have done a job in our squad this season. Plus that spell at the start of the season when Börner looked like his legs had been glued on the wrong way round.

It is interesting how many players have left us, by choice or released that then come back to play against us because we haven’t progressed.

"Can't wait to meet Liam Shaw in the Champions League"

He seems to be a regular starter for them now looking at their last few games.

We were so well represented at left back it’s understandable we let him go

lol

They had some injuries which gave him some game time, he wasn’t even making the bench for about  9 months.

Think they’ve just changed to 3 CBs instead of a flat 4 too, so given him a chance. But it’s a bit of a shame he hasn’t kicked on, who knows hopefully he takes his chance now

Not really mate. Football is a team game. Since Chansiri has splashed some cash, we have become obsessed with individual players and their merits. However, we completely miss their impact on a team and how the team performs.

Beevers wouldn’t be a bad signing in League One. 3 automatic promotions on his CV, one this season as captain.

Also, selected into League One best 11

Jordan Thorniley won’t though. He’s struggled for a game for 2 seasons.

Since he's been a regular starter from the end of January, they've gone from lower mid table to play offs with a good chance of winning them.

He's played 17 games, W11 D3 L3.

He was a centre back though.  Where he is playing for Blackpool as well.  He played left back a few times but was never his recognised position

Hes been used at CB according to recent teamsheets

Yes he always has been as far as I'm aware.  I think it was needs must when he played left back a couple of times for the first team here a couple of years ago?
