Adam Reach (Bristol City)

Recommended Posts

Scored some worldies, in fact he has a collection of them. No such thing as a 50-50 ball with reach always more like 18-82.

Good engine but he can be almost ineffective in a game. Take him, he's not one I would want to keep even if it was an option.

When he was scoring wonder goals people said we’d sell him for £15m.

Like the rest of our squad (and probably Derby’s) there’s a lot of broken looking men - I wouldn’t risk signing any of them.

However he has fitness, championship experience, won’t be a bad egg and might get you one or two goals. Squad filler at his next club I’d say.

Give him 46 games a season as an out and out left sider in a 4-2-3-1 , 4-1-2-3 or 4-3-3 and give him license to get forward and a decent full back behind him to do his tackling for him and he'll score you 4-10 goals and get you double figures in assists.

Play him in other systems than that and he'll be pants.

Play him on the right,  in the middle or laughably at centre forward and you'really wasting your time.

A good manager might see what sort of player is and get the best from him.

Good summary

Proper pansy, can’t/won’t tackle.

Cant defend just gets turned.

No pace.

Lacks any sort of urgency or dedication.

poo hair cut.

Scores the very occasional screamer.

Occasionally pings a cross in that someone actually gets on the end of.

Nailed it. The only thing to add is Reach can actually play 46 games a season. He seems to be super fit and pretty much never injured. He’s a square peg. Stick him in that square hole and he’s good. Stick him in any other hole and you may as well not bother.
