Emerson Thome
p.s. I am working on my own thread to reveal later in the week (with new stats!) about why we should play Rhodes against Derby.
sheffield_dave
Beggars can’t be choosers. The team is awful. We’ve got 1 match left to try and survive. If we get 1 clear cut opportunity to score in that match, Rhodes is the one man at the club with any sort of proven track record of scoring it. Theres a million reasons for us to doubt Rhodes. Shelve every single one of them for Derby. He has to play all 90.
Big Jack
He owes us big time so winning goal at Derby to keep us up, would be a small financial repayment.
Holmowl
6 hours ago, Mr. Chow said: They’re all crap, slotting Rhodes up too won’t make us better. The deliveries to the strikers need to be better to be able to actually finish. But that’s plainly wrong. Our results improve greatly when he plays up front. It’s undeniable fact. Why would we not maximise our chances for this unbelievably vital game? Rhodes and Windass have to start in a front two, with Paterson in midfield.
Emilianenko
As soon as Rhodes came on yesterday we looked better. He was linking play and challenging for headers. Something that hadn’t happened all game.

If he kept us up, the financial benefit would repay his transfer fee in one go. 1
theowlsman
Not long left if we are to get our £10 million worth out of him. Get him in.
Tommy Crawshaw
12 hours ago, Holmowl said: Moore clearly thinks we are a better side without Rhodes. He is wrong. The 3 games we have won in the 13 under Moore, Rhodes started in each one and scored 3 goals. If Moore thinks that he's mad. We are also better when Rhodes and Windass play together, rather than just one of them as a lone striker. Rhodes and Windass starting together this season, W4 D2 L4. Without them W8 D8 L19 1
Kopparberg
13 hours ago, Holmowl said: Question - when did we last win a game without Rhodes in the starting line-up? Answer - 2nd February, 20 games ago, Bournemouth away. He then came on and scored a late goal if I remember correctly.
Kopparberg
I once read that Hernan Crespo scored 1 goal in every 4 shots. Not sure how I’m relating this to Rhodes - other than even top players needing a couple of goes at goal to bag one.
Sambo89
Rhodes is a much better footballer than he gets credit for, but if he doesn't score every week he gets slated and dropped. It's bizarre.

Rhodes and Windass start 1.4 points per game. When they don't 0.91 PPG.. 1

Whats your view on the easy chances he has fluffed recently. How does it affect your beloved stats you dont post anymore And anyone who twists facts to believe one player is the reason for a result in a game with so many variables, doesnt understand the game

But it’s so noticeable how many chances we get when he’s playing. Surely you see that? Saturday was a prime example. Sod all first half - bags of (missed) chances second half. Have his misses cost us games or would that only be true it it was Paterson?
