Surely the sale will be announced now

Yeah but while the situation is all the money is owed to him, his options are 1. Sell the club at a price which a buyer would take it off him. His asking price is irrelevant. 2. Hold on and continue funding losses. 3. Go in to admin and effectively write off all the debts to himself.

3 doesn’t make sense as it’s inferior to 1 in every way, so it comes back to either sell for what a buyer would pay or continue the status quo. At some point the status quo will be too much and he’d be smart to move to option 1. If money starts being borrowed externally then that’s when the problems can occur

The only thing I'd just ask people to keep in mind is that 3 seems ridiculous to a rational view but Ch*nsiri has demonstrated he isn't rational and he also isn't from Thailand who have a very different view to ours about failure and letting others benefit from your misfortune as he will see it. A preferable course of action to someone from that area of the world would be to crash the business rather than let someone else get it cheap/whatever.

We've never once in our entire history not had a new owner come in

Fully agree and no doubt eventually we will be sold but at the moment football is on precipice, owners are being challenged left, right and centre.  I can't see any white knight charging in to buy the club under such circumstances that's even without the financial slump which is on the horizon.

Football is going to take a hit and would be owners will binding their time.

Worrying times ahead for all of us.

These are far from normal times, combined with the fact that the costs involved in running even a mediocre team becoming more and more extortionate.

Wednesday would stay up for sure if it wasn't for the six deducted points, which clearly shows Chansiri knows what he's doing on the football side of things.

A club that is losing £30m plus a year? What if DC decides enough is enough? He can stop putting money in and the club would still owe for.
A. The lease on the ground

B. Any contracts signed for sponsorship or catering, money owed in salaries or to suppliers for club shop supplies?

This can happen. I’ve been there personally

Also HMRC perhaps ?

They tend to be fairly proactive in putting companies into admin / liquidation when they’re owed money - they certainly don’t fanny about at all

Only the directors can put a company into admin, HMRC could ask the high court to wind us up though

I have a long held view that a certain "advisor", who has very close ties to a company formally known as Doyen is at Hillsbro for a reason, and it ain't advising chancer on transfers.

Spot on any othe club would have kicked the stuffing ball out of there club why not us because there's fuckwittery a foot at s6, there's more to his continued involvement at the club.

Sale? Can’t see it! Too proud, too arrogant. Sale is admission of failure unless he gets his £xxxx million back. Clutching at straws springs to mind. Chansiri will have us yo-yo up and down the Champ like Rotherham. The best we can hope for us that he gets bored and finds someone to run the club for him IMO

My fear is that the next "new owners" could be the administrators.🙄

Established Premiership mainstays Crystal Palace and Southampton went down the admin route in the not too distant past.

The fact he can't pay the players wages suggests he won't be able to pay external bills either, which then makes admin a very real possibility.

Not heard peep that other than players nobody as not been paid
