Surely the sale will be announced now

I'd be instantly suspicious of the competence of anyone stupid enough to even enquire about buying a club in the state ours is in.

Someone will be able to buy the club for a pound soon. We will go into administration soon

Who do we owe money to go into administration

A club that is losing £30m plus a year? What if DC decides enough is enough? He can stop putting money in and the club would still owe for.
A. The lease on the ground

B. Any contracts signed for sponsorship or catering, money owed in salaries or to suppliers for club shop supplies?

This can happen. I’ve been there personally

Wednesday would stay up for sure if it wasn't for the six deducted points, which clearly shows Chansiri knows what he's doing on the football side of things.

Not a cat in hells chance he won’t sell, he has to.

The  alternative is to lose even more money with no end result.

Whoever  is financing him will pull the plug.

It would be interesting to know who it/they are.

I have a long held view that a certain "advisor", who has very close ties to a company formally known as Doyen is at Hillsbro for a reason, and it ain't advising chancer on transfers.

That's my view too. The appalling level of player recruitment doesn't warrant his continued stay at the club & Steve Bruce said "He was part of the fabric of the club".

DC may want to sell but any asking price is ridiculous in comparison. For that reason the only way I see DC leaving is due to administration or liquidation. That will be an incredibly messy scenario and could see us easily turn into a Bolton, Portsmouth or even go out of business altogether with the whole Covid cloud still hanging in the air.

I have no love for football right now and even less love for Mr Chansiri.

If he puts us in to admin then he’s just avoiding paying the debts which are all owed to him. It doesn’t make sense basically because you wouldn’t go insolvent when you owe money to yourself. It’s when you get third parties involved that the problem occurs

Yeah but while the situation is all the money is owed to him, his options are 1. Sell the club at a price which a buyer would take it off him. His asking price is irrelevant. 2. Hold on and continue funding losses. 3. Go in to admin and effectively write off all the debts to himself.

3 doesn’t make sense as it’s inferior to 1 in every way, so it comes back to either sell for what a buyer would pay or continue the status quo. At some point the status quo will be too much and he’d be smart to move to option 1. If money starts being borrowed externally then that’s when the problems can occur

The fact he can't pay the players wages suggests he won't be able to pay external bills either, which then makes admin a very real possibility.

That's what I think personally too. In the meantime it's going to be an incredibly horrible watch for another season or so with DC at the helm.

He is paying them though, so far. Just late

Which says to me he is scrambling around every month borrowing money to pay the wages. If he had any money of his own late payment of wages wouldn't happen.
