we stay up at Derby

Recommended Posts

My script

We win the next two to make it  45 points while Derby get just one point to be on 44. Rotherham have imploded and stand on 42 points and are gone.

Derby are shocking we go a goal up in the first half. We are strolling it and miss several chances in the second half. On about 75 minutes our players suddenly realise that they might do it and lose it. Derby score on 80 mins.

Its bedlam in our area for the next ten and on 92 minutes a cross into the box is met by the inevitable winning header.

We still have the time for Hutchinson to miss a sitter on 97 minutes.

Or we just get hammered this week

I would be very surprised if Bowyer or the club owners thought like you.  “Yeah Rotherham can overtake us, but it won’t happen so let’s slacken off now lads yeah?”.

Fortunately I feel Birmingham will actually try tomorrow to mathematically ensure their safety for next season.

No they're not mathematically safe but they have 49 points which will be more than enough to stay up.

Rotherham are the only team that can catch them and they're running on empty.

We'll see how they approach the game tomorrow but in front of Sky cameras hopefully they will want to put a shift in.

Forest will beat us next week.

Then we'll win at Derby, send them down and save Rotherham.

Its crazy that we are not relegated by now, shows there are teams just as bad which is hard to think possible.

The season after we came up from League One last time we had 55 points going into the final game of the season and yet still needed a win on the last day to be absolutely certain of staying up. In the end it was Peterborough who went down despite taking 54 points.

Another fact....Barnsley have taken more points from their last 17 games than we have over the whole season.

Tbh thought relegation points would have been higher this time. We would be above Derby if we had not had 6 pts deducted. Shows how bad they are and we are garbage.

Reading result not helpful.

No, it's not. Expect Swansea to rest their best players in their final two league games before the play offs. Brentford will do the same against Rovvrum.

Don’t want to appear negative, but I’ve a feeling that Rotherham’s luck is about to change and that they’ll start to pick up points.

They were unlucky not to get anything at Barnsley yesterday and the sending off against Coventry earlier in the week .might be described as harsh.

We could beat Forest and Derby and still go down remember if their luck turns and they get a couple of decent results

They certainly play better football than both us and Derby, but they can't seem to put the ball in the next consistently, or (it would seem) catch a break from the officials. As you say though, that could start to change and they have twice as many opportunities as us to get out of jail

If Swansea stay 6th, they’ll play in form Bournemouth.

Hopefully that will make them try a bit harder against 🐑🐑

Brentford will probably get 3rd as they will be 4 points clear of 4th with 2 left if they beat Rotherham. So if Swansea want to avoid Bournemouth they need to lose a few to ensure 6th

Think I'd rather play Bournemouth than Brentford.

Brentford looked very good yesterday when beating Bournemouth Even with 10 men they were comfortable winners.
