But got feeling law of average will say results will go against us this weekend and we will be down before we play Derby. Agreed, we have quite a good record at Boro, from memory I can think of 3 wins there in the last 5-6 visits. But I think it may be another qpr fiasco where we collapse in the second half. Guest whowantstoberich
If we do will it be the only day of the season we’ve been outside relegation?

Above Derby, Birmingham, and Wycombe. With that win we had 28 points from 28 games and we thought we needed only average form of W6 D6 L6 for the rest of the season to give us 52 points and easy safety. Then lost the next 7 games to kibosh that idea. Since that Wycombe game we've P15 W3 D2 L10 Pts 11.

Not exactly the last game, but I remember Burton O'Brien scoring in a win at Brighton with a game or two left that not only saved us but decided all three relegated teams at once. Bolton Southend. The great escapes. But I’m right old
DJMortimer
Again, not strictly last day of the season, but not long after Ron Atkinson arrived we were battling it out with Middlesbrough and sent them down instead of us by beating them 1-0. Guest
Derby win win on Saturday Birmingham are safe now and their players will be on the beach We might scrap a draw (if we score first) Then it's we need to win our last two and Derby lose their last two, plus Rotherham not winning another game Ain't happening

Whitecap Owl
Would be nice but I fear it would it just be another 1973-74 where we stayed up by 1 point and dropped the next season... Full circle in, just short of, 50 years.....

SiJ
I'd be staggered if we are in a position to still stop up by then. Most likely outcome might be us taking Derby down with us tbh.
