OhForAnotherShez
pleased for them! However cannot understand why games are not more localised. Colchester was one of the worst and boring trips to see the first team.

malek
If there is anyone interested, David Abbontohoma is a central defender who left Southampton (played for Arsenal as well) and already got linked with us on-line.

Well we're interested, but it remains to be seen if anyone at the club is allowed to be interested!
FinnishOwl
Well done, lads. Also happy to see a trialist since we need to act quite fast if we want any better ones in. Asking for a friend: could we transfer the points from our U23 to the senior squad?
Dutch McLovin
Only seen the club highlights but Bonnigton seemed to step up to that level and fit in quite nicely. Hold up and link play looked good and obviously his size will help. Been a tough old season for our youth teams but after the clusterf*ck that was pre season left both the under 23s and under 18's so unprepared they seem to have got going towards the end, especially the under 18s. Was always going to be a tough ask for the 23s with no CF. Yesterday Hagan was fit and could play in his proper position out wide, Dele could play as an attacking midfielder and we had a target man up top. Waldock is a good CDM as well so there was enough there to be successful. If they would have had that kind of structure from the start would have helped massively.

Definitely unprepared and lacking structure. Like last year we could have a number of young players receiving pro contracts who haven't played more than a handful of minutes at U23 level. I don't know of any other club who do this. U18 to U23 is a step but it's called development stage for a reason.

Another club nearby have their best U18s playing regular for the U23s and only play for the 18s in the big games like FA Youth Cup. They have room in their U23s for the younger players because they have a lot out on loan. We don't seem to do it like this. Because there are rarely U23s out on loan there is no room for the best U18s to make the step up. Even our U23s cant get in the U23 side!!! Eg Thompson,Cox,Farmer,Reaney etc.
