We won the league cup and ended a wonderful season by being promoted back to League 1 (Premier League for you young 'us! )

Tomorrow morning we will probably be a League 1 team once more.

@Eastern

Mental how we was getting bigger crowds than Chelsea a division below.

I think this just backs up the argument of if we would get 30k average in the PL, course we would.

Fulham 4k Burnley 7k pfffft....

Fab season to be a Wednesdayite,  remember it well.

Chelsea ground was a dump then.

Being in London was a big advantage for clubs like Chelsea with the changes in football over last 30 years.

I went to St James’ that season - it felt like there was more Wednesdayites than Newcastle fans in the ground.

We have a history of chairmen that miss the opportunity to kick us on.

It shows how badly we have performed as a club in the last 30 years, we must be one of the very few clubs whose average as actually gone down.

Without doubt the best day following Wednesday, and I was at the BDM, FA Cup semi and league cup semi at Blackburn (which was the best I have ever seen us play). To see us lift proper silverware (not the 4th Division trophy) was something that only happened to other clubs and still gets me misty eyed just thinking about it. Happy days
