Would bring two massive clubs into the mix especially Celtic who have a massive worldwide appeal.  Wouldn't surprise me if one or even both are approached.

I think the chances of either of those two ever winning the competition is a very round number.

He’s saying three of the four semi finalists will have to be kicked out and then they decide what to do with this year’s tournament. If there’s only PSG left then surely they’re the de facto winner.

Personally think they should finish this season otherwise it makes a mockery of it, then focus on kicking them out their domestic leagues

It makes sense, they don't want to be part of UEFA's Champions League/ Europa League, so why let them continue in it and benefit from it now.

Wouldn't the 3 teams involved (not PSG) love to laud it over everyone else as the competitions final winners. Fvk 'em.

Same. It will happen. He’s been planning it for over a decade. Will be meticulously thought through.

Interesting that all six clubs are very quite on it.

It been wanted for a long time, I also think the want it as a league rather than and alternative UCL.

Kick them out of:

Premier league ( their countries equivalent)

FA Cup

League Cup

World cup

European Championship

All respective National competition ie African Cup.

Would be massively unfair on the players to ban them from the Euro's or the World Cup at this stage.  They have contracts for starters and they have so far had nothing to do with this.  By all means punish the clubs but give players a window of opportunity to get out of contracts and move clubs to keep their eligibility for internationals.

Some select quotes from an article that was linked earlier:

”However, its underlying message is that the 12 clubs – including six from the Premier League – had no choice but to act because of the financial costs they were facing. Citing Covid, it warns that the accumulated losses of top-level clubs exceed €5bn (£4.3bn).”

“The weaknesses in the foundations of football have been known for many years, Covid simply exposed their severity and none of the game’s stakeholders have come up with a solution. Inaction is no longer an option.”

Interesting that of the options discussed regarding this mounting debt, ceasing to pay wages that they clearly can’t afford doesn’t appear to be one of them.

Morally repugnant, arrogant and entitled.

Can't imagine JP Morgan will want the kind of poo that those two clubs bring with them for their HyperGlobalMegaFranchiseBall brand.

For English football this all started when the PL was formed. Many forget that the clubs chose to leave the football league at this time. As the money has increased in the PL the clubs, owners, players and agents have all become too greedy - too little of this money has made its way down the football pyramid that everyone is now saying is very important.

The PL has almost become a closed shop now with just a few yo-yo teams - the parachute payments are real evidence of how little the PL cares about the EFL.

The irony of PL clubs talking about others being greedy is beyond the pale for me.

How much of the money from the old first division do you think made its way to the fourth division before the advent of the Premier League?

First they took our football and now they are trying to take our sectarianism?!
