Manchester City were the first club to formally pull out after Chelsea had signalled their intent to do so by preparing documentation to withdraw. The other four sides - Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham - are set to follow, with a statement expected later on Tuesday. There was a suggestion earlier than Man City board members were feeling like they had been deceived in some way. The threat they have used as leverage for years in order to better their own ends is now gone. No longer will they be able to hold the threat of a breakaway league over game in order to see their own selfish agendas met. Because as we have now seen, they are unable to do what they threaten, fans, governments, other clubs simply won't let it happen. This must not be forgotten, you can't pretend you never did this, that you are now listening to fans, punish them anyway. We now need regulation in football around ownership, these money grabbing b@stards need to be driven from the game.
