Having known staff who have worked for the company in Shirebrook, I would not want him anywhere near our club.

We need a new owner absolutely but not Arsehole Ashley

Why is everyone having a dig at Ashley ? He is kindness personified; At Shirebrook he always has a plenty full supply of Hay and Blankets should any female worker go into Labour !  lol

Paid £135m for NUFC, selling for £300m 14 years later.

Relegated twice in his time, but returned twice as champions.

Had Rafa Benitez & Bobby Robson as managers, and a few decent international outfield players too.

Why would anyone turn him down as a prospective owner?

He never had Bobby Robson as manager, SBR was sacked 4 years before Ashley bought us. Thanks to Ashley SBR’s final 2 years saw the club treat Kevin Keegan appallingly, and the club get relegated.

Bottom line is that Newcastle are much bigger club in terms of support and trophies. Any decent chairman would have them winning things regularly and in Europe every year.

Support maybe, but only because they have no other clubs to the north or west of them for miles and miles. Their "rivals" Sunderland are miles away too.Combined  Attendances at both sheffield grounds if we'd been in the top flight for most of the last 30 years would be 50,000 plus.

The last time Newcastle won a trophy was 1955. Even we've one since.

Totally agree. Think they are the most overrated fans in football and can't stand their arrogance. Just saying how it is at the moment. Never got on board this "if there was only one team in Sheffield we'd get x amount of fans".  Don't think it works like that. Just my opinion.

Mike Ashley maybe a a horrible cockney #£@&, but at least he'd formulate and implement a viable  plan to get us back up the leagues and into the Premier league.

Newcastle may complain about him not investing, but whenever it goes Pete tong and they get relagated, he splashes the cash to rebuild and get them straight back up.

We've got a rudderless ship under a hopeless captain that just judders from smashing from  one rock to another until it invariably will sink.

. So even though I'm not a fan, I'd still take Ashley over Dc.

Robson left in 2004, Ashley bought them in 2007

C'mon son

Newcstle supporters hae been campaigning for the remobal of Ashley for a good number of years, now. It is only trdrnyly that theyhave had a reasonablr run of good fortune

But yet, some of our more enlightened dupporters ish to chanhe one misfortune for anothre. They are probably wishing for a ewuen  of Steve Bruce, but be careful what you wish for.We are more likely to end up wit Robert te Bruce, and Hollywood not withstanding, that was a catastrophy as well

A little more water with it perhaps? I only drink beer in the afternoons except on Saturdays and when we have a game midweek...
