onefurlongout
Loathed by many but I reckon he’d get us into the Premier League. If anything he’d make us more commercially savvy. Maybe not to everyone’s liking but the guy clearly has a business brain

The only way is S6
Paid £135m for NUFC, selling for £300m 14 years later. Relegated twice in his time, but returned twice as champions. Had Rafa Benitez & Bobby Robson as managers, and a few decent international outfield players too. Why would anyone turn him down as a prospective owner?

Buckwheat
Bottom line is that Newcastle are much bigger club in terms of support and trophies. Any decent chairman would have them winning things regularly and in Europe every year.

Their "rivals" Sunderland are miles away too.Combined Attendances at both sheffield grounds if we'd been in the top flight for most of the last 30 years would be 50,000 plus. WBridgfordowl
There’s no way MA will buy Wednesday. It’s a club he likes and he would love to see us in the premier league, but only because of the number of fans we’d take to St James’

Just saying how it is at the moment. Never got on board this "if there was only one team in Sheffield we'd get x amount of fans". Don't think it works like that. Just my opinion. shezzas left peg
Mike Ashley maybe a a horrible cockney #£@&, but at least he'd formulate and implement a viable plan to get us back up the leagues and into the Premier league. Newcastle may complain about him not investing, but whenever it goes Pete tong and they get relagated, he splashes the cash to rebuild and get them straight back up. We've got a rudderless ship under a hopeless captain that just judders from smashing from one rock to another until it invariably will sink. . So even though I'm not a fan, I'd still take Ashley over Dc.
