Hughdowd
Looks like the takeover at Newcastle is eventually going to happen......Wonder if he’s still interested in SWFC ???.... Might be a case of out of the frying pan into the fire ...BUT.... At least Ashley knows and watches football regularly and would see what’s needed ....... The most annoying thing about us ..is we have two people..Chansiri and Paxo ... owning and recruiting for the club .. who have never kicked a football in their live’s.....Chansiri even admits he knows nothing about football and he’s not prepared to listen to any advice (apart from paxo)......We could have klopp ..pep...gerrard etc as manager and it would still be the same while ever Chansiri/Paxo run the show !!!!!!! 6
Burnsie
1. Was MA ever interested in us, or did someone say he might be just cos he was planning to sell NUFC 2. Can't imagine MA and DC being able to negotiate, even before he approached Bruce

Popular Post alanharper
- Hi Mr Chansiri, it's Mike Ashley here. I've just sold Newcastle for £350m and I'm interested in taking SWFC off your hands. How much are you wanting? - £350m - What? I've just sold PL Newcastle for that. SWFC are a total mess and League One, you need to be realistic. - £350m -Come on, let's negotiate. I'll give you £100m and that's silly money considering the state of the club. - £350m Ridiculous. OK I'll go to £120m. - £350m. And my wife wants £100m for the stadium as well. - Madness. But I really want to make SWFC great again so I'll give you a crazy £200m. And that's my absolute final offer. - Click. - Hello? 1 2
Popular Post StudentOwl
It really does speak volumes when the idea of Mike Ashley is one where you can only conclude it would be a resounding improvement in every single respect.
matthefish2002
Some of Mike Ashley business practices are a bit dubious but he is no mug. Newcastle have been run on sound business lines even if on the pitch is all gone a bit stale. But Chansiri would virtually have to cut his asking price by about 95% for him to be interested.
Animis
Bizarrely SWFC's (independent) valuation will clearly drop in L1 but DC won't acknowledge it - whatever he's wanting now, as a Championship club, is likely to be what he would demand/accept in L1. It's going to compound our misery for a while - the challenge for DC is will he fund a promotion campaign and re-structure the club to prevent this nonsense happening in future. I doubt there's many who are optimistic on that front.
Buxtongent
Newcstle supporters hae been campaigning for the remobal of Ashley for a good number of years, now. It is only trdrnyly that theyhave had a reasonablr run of good fortune But yet, some of our more enlightened dupporters ish to chanhe one misfortune for anothre. They are probably wishing for a ewuen of Steve Bruce, but be careful what you wish for.We are more likely to end up wit Robert te Bruce, and Hollywood not withstanding, that was a catastrophy as well

Gob_Bluth
Mike Ashley's empire is crumbling. Covid has hit him hard He's not going to leave one football club with a fanbase with an over entitled sense of purpose to come and buy another one. 1 1

Under DC’s tenure, things will only get worse. Not that I think it would happen anyway but honestly he's not the right way to go.
