I’m suggesting players who can get us out of L1! Nothing more. If that’s all we’re going to do then the circus will continue long term. Probably wouldn’t be that difficult for us to be in and around the play offs with the wages we can offer, but if we don’t take the opportunity to build something for progression then we’ll just end up a championship league 1 yo yo club. It offers us an opportunity to lay good foundations and get a team together that can grow in to being a championship side. There’s less pressure and it’s easier to blood youngsters
Morepork
This is a perfectly legitimate thread topic and yet I just don’t see the point. Not because we shouldn’t be able to speculate but rather because there’s just zero chance of predicting any transfer activity from the club. We could have a list of unrealistic names on or no list at all. Its just one more element of this entire sh!tshow that’s infuriating.

Whatever division we're in next season we desperately need a left back. Ruffels is a good player, and Oxford have several good young players. It makes you think though doesn’t it. People are looking at all these players in League One, sometimes several from the same club, and yet, most are saying, get rid of all ours, they’re not good enough. Does that suggest that we would struggle in that division? Probably not. Some of those mentioned, like Ruffels for example, would definitely strengthen us, especially in a position where we are weak, but others, are probably not as good as what we have. Some of our players who struggled in the championship, may well thrive in League One? The biggest thing for me is, addressing the balance of the side. Until the side is balanced, we will struggle whatever the personnel Had we added a decent left back, and a proper number 9, there is no way we would have struggled as we have this season. Sort out those two positions, and add a bit of energy with a few young Premier League loanees, and some of our existing players might look a whole lot better.

It fills me with dread that we could end up with a load of players from Paxo's little black book consisting of foreign misfits. I'd trust Darren Moore's targets first.
