Popular Post adelphi1867
'Finding Jack Charlton' The best manager the club has had in my time of watching the Wednesday. How his brother got a knight hood 'For services to football' and Jack didn't is an injustice, Jack did far more for Football than Bobby even dreamt about. 18

As for the knighthood thing Bobby was a man utd media darling, while Jack was kicking lumps out of people for dirty Leeds. Bobby became an fa embassedor and for England whilst Jack was beating England and showing us up at international level with his Ireland sqaud made of English cast offs... The powers that be probably didn't like that 3
Owls-Fan
Sad to hear that his time at Wednesday isn’t mentioned at all given the time and success he had with us. But I will still be watching 2
Hirstys_12th_Pint
Its mainly about his success with Ireland and more recent battles with dementia. Fantastic documentary if a little bit sad.
Bulldog
I saw this when it came out - it's brilliant and very very sad.
Kew Owl
It’s a difficult watch apparently - whilst his exploits with Leeds and Ireland quite rightly get a mention, there’s much emphasis on his dementia in later years and the effect it had on his nearest and dearest. Popular Post DevonOwls
Brilliant tribute to a brilliant man and maybe my favourite manager in my time as an owl. Will never forget seeing his face when he came up to the away end at Oldham and couldn’t help but feel gutted for him. Or his face at Blackburn on my favourite ever away night! Loved the ending, with Big Jack singing along to the Blaydon Races. So many great times singing our own version... ‘Walking down the Penistone Road To see Jack Charlton’s aces’ FFS, simpler, happier times, so proud to be a Wednesdayite back then 7
