ive said this many times before and  anyone who goes to these games will think the same , when squad players play for the 23s they just go thru the motions ...to have 5 or 6 in one  hit its no surprise they got thrashed .

Used to see the same years ago in the Central League when the 'best players' came back from injury.

15,000 at a reserve game for one of Hirsty’s returns from injury?

I've not kept much of an eye on the U23s this season but just had a glance at the table.... Bottom with only 4 wins all season. Totally tells the story of the entire club really.

United played Mousset and Lowe - £15m worth of players, but we should at least have given them a game with an attacking line completely made up of first team players. Kachunga, Brown and Harris need moving on quickly.

Imagine being a 24 year old first team player, who gets sent off for scrapping with a 17 year old in an U23 match, and then trying to get all uppity and self righteous on social media, because he has had some stick.

Brown is so far up his own backside it's unreal. I see his mate Dunkley had piped up too.

The sooner half of this bunch are shipped out, the better.

its little more than a training session to them and whoever picked them to play would know that ....they obviously think that is more important to give them a run out  than the result of some meaningless game .

You'd have thought that with over half the first 11 of that under 23 team made up of players from the first team squad, those players would have been trying to impress the new manager and push for a place in the first team. Losing 4-0 doesn't suggest any of them covered themselves in glory, especially the 1st team player who got himself a red card in the last 10 minutes.

Think that tells you everything about whether or not they want to be here, if their contracts/loans are up, and how happy they are here

Andre Green only signed a couple of months ago.

If players like Penney and Hunt don't want to stick around then good luck to them, but they won't be getting offers from clubs at this level. As for Brown, Kachunga, they signed in the summer with their eyes wide open, it's not as if our problems were not well documented at that time and they and their agents will have done their homework on the club. Getting sent off in the last 10 minutes for scrapping with some kid when already 3-0 down shows a lack of professionalism.

Yes the club is in a mess but players like this are hardly doing their upmost in trying circumstances.

I don't know how many players/managers we are going to say this about though mate

Things are clearly just not right at the club.

Managers, players, coaches all come 'with their eyes wide open' then talk of surprises or issues after they've been here a while

And how many players are our fans gonna say 'they won't get offers from clubs in the Championship' about?

It's just an endless repetitive over and over and over and over scenario

Even if those players don't get a Championship team to go to - so what? That doesn't help us one bit either way, nor does it change what's happening here at Sheffield Wednesday right now either.

It's like we are forgetting contracts are up, players are off, we're getting relegated, and forget everything that's gone on this season off the pitch and scratch our heads at why our players aren't playing at their best

It's beyond madness this
