I can’t remember a signing as disappointing as Brown for a long time. Had really high hopes for him when he signed but he has been pathetic, was very good for Luton and Huddersfield but ******** useless for us.

*cough* Jordan Rhodes *cough*

It baffles me why Chelsea keep players like this (remember Jimmy Smith?) . He's not young, and is never going to get within a million miles of their first team squad so what's the point?   it's not like they're keeping him to prevent rivals like Liverpool snapping him up is it.  It's just bizarre.

£££££££

The send them out on loan hoping they impress someone enough to take a punt on them

loan fees wages paid means they cost next to nothing to keep and they make bank when they're sold.

Look at Hector, if you believe transfermarkt he was bought for around £4.8 million, had loans of loans to bring in loan fees,  and sold to Fulham eventually for 5.3 million.

With the loan fees and final transfer fee I reckon they made a tidy profit overall. They have hundreds of players they do this with.

It's basically a footballing cattle market

People like Kachunga, Harris are an absolute waste of space. Hope they both go along with so many of our other players at the end of the season.

what i dont get is what club would seriously have any ideas about signing them for next season . they have done nothing and aint trying to impress anyone so i hope at the end of the season both are done in football those 2 losers are a big reason we are going down.

Our recruitment since the play-off final, Steven Fletcher apart has been absolute dogger.

If anything since Bruce brought his own recruitment team in, it has got worse.

I shudder to think what we’ll

bring In to the club in the summer?

I’m just hoping Moore has a say as he has done some decent recruitment in the past particularly at Doncaster?

Because the wages get covered by the teams that sign them, and they get a loan fee as well... Times that by 30 players a season and its a great money earner

he’s doing the business for us at the minute.......

I don’t disagree, and I’m one of the most positive people with regards to Rhodes. But over his entire Wednesday career I’d struggle to defend his contribution compared to what we paid (and are still paying in terms of wages) for him.

ive said this many times before and  anyone who goes to these games will think the same , when squad players play for the 23s they just go thru the motions ...to have 5 or 6 in one  hit its no surprise they got thrashed .

What a stupid response...of course they don't but that doesn't mean as we all know that the performance of SWFC in developing talent has not been pathetic.

I thought we'd just produced a world beater in Shaw, you'd think so from reading some of the comments on here.

The under 18's and under 23's were doing very well a couple of years ago so can't really say the academy was failing in that respect. The under 23's drew with United a few weeks ago, this time with first teamers including Hunt, Penney, Harris, Green, Kachunga and Brown in the first 11 they get hammered. Attitude found wanting it seems, especially when one of them gets sent off in the last 5 minutes with the game already lost.

You'll get no argument from me

I saw that starting XI and thought  -  Blimey, dem piglets won't need any motivation against that lot

Whereas our side are gonna treat this latest 'local derby' as a glorified kickabout

As soon as we went a goal down I knew how it would end up

Embarrassing

its little more than a training session to them and whoever picked them to play would know that ....they obviously think that is more important to give them a run out  than the result of some meaningless game .
