How has the population of Sheffield changed over the last 30 years?

You keep stuff unchanged it becomes outdated.

This is reactionary thinking rather than preferred planning.

Blimey. So many old people.

And by the look of it, some of them are working class too.

When you see scenes like this you can appreciate why its no bad thing that social cleansing is allowed under the guise of improvement, and ironically , inclusivity.

They are the middle class of Sheffield they had to be checked first before they got there, dirty finger nails, and you didn't get in.

Think I might have found where John Lewis are haemorrhaging so much cash, even online.

Placed an online order last week... four items on a single order. All related items from the same brand.

John Lewis have sent them out as FOUR separate parcels with FOUR separate couriers. 🤷‍♂️

That's one of the problems..

Modern building 1963 but out dated and falling to bits inside now. One or more escalators always seems out of order and they can't just get parts off the shelf nowadays so takes weeks to repair. Cost of bringing it up to date far too much. It does make a profit though Leeds JL shop doesn't apparently.

It is beyond belief that a "genius' in Sheffield Council actually paid jlp £3m  to underpin the future of Sheffield City centre to a nearly 60 year old department store.

He or she is supposed to be planning for the long term future and department stores are so obviously part of the past.

Your probably right which in some ways makes it worse.

I wonder if they get to keep their jobs, I don't think they would survive in a corporate environment.

For anyone interested, I talk about the John Lewis situation in my latest blog:

Good read.

Good luck on the exams! I did the RO exams a few years back. Need to do AF1 and AF6 to become chartered, but really struggling to muster up the enthusiasm to do it.
