Alex Turner must support the Owls His dad was my music teacher at school and was a Wednesday fan, had a Wednesday pennant in the rear window of his green MR2. So if Alex doesn't support the Owls, his dad has failed in his duties as a father

Rogers
Probably talked more about Wednesday in his international travels (and therefore on TV) as we were the better known of the clubs during the period from 1867 to 1996.
Harrypopper
Why do people care who he supports? I really don't get the fascination as with The Arctic Monkeys.. Bit weird to me
Ever the pessimist
I remember him saying he supported both to Frank Skinner on TV. Skinner was incredulous. Palin explained it by saying he couldn’t choose one as the other side’s fans would kill him. Skinner said ‘well, they’ll have the knives in Sheffield to do it.’
sexpistol
I think Palin went a few times to Hillsborough in the early to mid 80s Im sure there’s a photo of him talking to Curran in the Wednesday dressing room after a game against Derby in the early 80s. I believe he was also at the 1991 league cup final and possibly the 93 FA cup final. I don’t think he is an ardent supporter of either Sheffield team tbh. TomtheOwl95
I always think, in Sheffield with regards to people in the public eye, you tend to have to go one or the other from the off even if you don't like football. Unless they support someone else entirely. Kell Brook tried the whole "I like both teams" stuff, doesn't wash. People I think would have been behind him more if he'd just said he was a blade from the off.

adamnich
He has on numerous occasions on his travel programmes said to people that his team is Sheffield Wednesday when football has come up in conversation with people. Better to retain an element of respectability by claiming Wednesday. 1
