Show them this and tell them to show you which bits they’re talking about

If you want to see litter and rats,  there's a certain place near the NGH that's full of it and them.

Have you seen this personally or just read someone else saying it?

E.g have you ever personally actually seen rats?

Be honest..

No I drive through everyday and actually ran over a dead rat on my way to work.  Think it was a rat, it was that big it could have been a horse, all this while I was passing overflowing bins every so often.

Back to your original bit , we had a walk through town a couple of weeks ago. We started from the Spider Bridge near the canal basin and walked right through to the Botanical gardens and back again. It was very pleasant with not a hint of rat or to be honest any litter. We even had a coffee outside Fitzalan Square and although the odd pigeon bothered us it made a change from doing our usual walk around Shirebrook.

Sounds good!
Is that the bridge near the Wicker Arches?

Yes, it's under the old Victoria Station and part of the Five Weirs walk which is a different walk altogether and where you may indeed come across rats and litter.  Although that's hardly surprising as it runs alongside the Don.
