Popular Post Lord Snooty
*KNOCK - KNOCK, KNOCK - KNOCK - KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK - KNOCK!* "Is that you Stubbs?" "Sir, it rather defies the point of us having arranged a secret knock if you're going to call out and ask who's there." "Yes. I suppose it does rather. Have you brought supper?" "Ham sandwiches and lashings of Ginger beer, Sir" "Sandwiches. Sandwiches and pop? I was rather hoping for a steak . With some of those crinkle cut chips that you do so well. Do you use a tiny spoon?" "No, Sir I have a wave knife." "Oh. Well look, I was hoping for something a bit more hearty. Been up here three days , I'm wasting away." "When I last saw you ,Sir, you said it was something of an adventure like those stories from your childhood 'Five off to Smugglers top' and the like so I thought a traditional Enid Blyton style supper.." "Yes. Well, it was for about an hour. But 3 days. And it's damned cold up here too.I need to come down soon. Have the villagers gone?" "No Sir, they are at the gates still demanding their refunds" "Well what am I to do. I can't stay up here indefinitely!" "There is no alternative at the moment, Sir" "And do what! I like my entertainment." "You can watch Wednesday,Sir" "I said entertainment damn it! Ugh. Very well. Who have we got tomorrow? What day is it tomorrow even. I've lost all track. I don't even know what month it is" " It is March, Sir. Wednesday the 17th of, and you are playing Huddersfield Town" "The Terriers eh. Hang on a jiffy. The 17th you say" "I did." "Why, it's St Patricks day!" "Indeed, Sir. You seem most revitalised. Though I must remind you that the public houses are still closed ,Sir" "Never mind the pubs. This is just what we need. The luck of the Irish!" "I'm not sure that-" "Oh yes, that's what we'll do. That'll get us a result. A little bit of the Irish luck. I mean we've already got Westwood- " "Yes Sir...he seems to have a lot of luck , especially with his injuries..." "- then there's O'Lees, and O'Urghoghide and one or two of the chaps are bound to have some of those Celtic band tattoos that were all the rage at one time!" "Sir, I don't think you can claim our players are Irish by merely placing an 'O' in front of their names and presuming they have Celtic tattoos." "Why on Earth not , Jack Charlton got to a World Cup quarter final using that trick!" "A fair point, Sir. But I fear you'll need more than luck, Sir" "Well we must try something! I simply can't bear to watch another second half collapse Stubbs. Just cannot face it at all." "Indeed ,Sir. Which is why I have bought you one of these special viewing helmets for the second half. Just pop it on to try it out, Sir....yes....that's it. Now, how many fingers am I holding up?" "I can't see a thing!" "Exactly ,Sir" --------------------- -- ---------------- WEDNESDAY V's Huddersfield Town English Championship Kick Off : 19:45 Hillsborough While the Owls have shown signs of life under the guidance of poor old Darren Moore, three successive defeats have left the club seven points adrift of safety. Wednesday's match in hand could prove crucial come the end of the campaign, but Moore must first look to build on the positives taken from the 2-1 defeat against leaders Norwich City. It seems hard to believe. But he must. Being disappointed that we failed to claim points from the best team in the league, arguably is a sign that we're making progress under Moore. Nevertheless, only points on the board will be deemed acceptable at this stage of the campaign, and Wednesday are looking to avoid an eighth straight defeat on Wednesday night. Wednesday Lineup : Who knows. It's been like pulling formations and names out of a hat most of the season hasn't it. Just hope Hutchinson is kept at centre half. Hoping Reach plays on the left. The rest...ugh who knows. Who knows anymore. Who care's anymore!? ---------------------------- Huddersfield Town ---------------------------------- There have been times this season when Huddersfield have looked odds-on favourites to be dragged closer to the dropzone, form which has led to criticism of Carlos Corberan. However, the Terriers have made a habit of following poor periods of form with necessary revivals, the same trend continuing with a 1-0 victory away at Queens Park Rangers. With a nine-point advantage having been established over 22nd-placed Rotherham United, Corberan will feel that Huddersfield are within touching distance of effectively sealing their place in the second tier for another 12 months. Although a setback against one of their rivals would change that belief, Huddersfield are motivated to keep three successive clean sheets for the first time this season. Barring any late fitness issues, Corberan is likely to stick with the team which impressed at QPR. Despite playing 90 minutes on his return from injury, Jonathan Hogg is in line to make his second start in quick succession. . new zealand owl
one of these days....one of these days (shakes fist) 1-0 either way. I am going to be mega positive and say we are going to grab the 3 points followed by a chastening defeat on saturday against barnstormingley to quote the great philosopher Kevin Keegan "we are going to start off at 0-0 and go looking for goals"

Manwë
Narrow 3-1 victory for Wednesday. Even game but our clinical excellence up front wins the day. Terriers become the Tarriers.
latemodelchild
Are we really doing this again? I've run out of options for affecting our games. I've tried watching us on TV and we lose. Listening on the radio and we lose. Following on twitter and we lose. Ignoring us completely and we lose. I'm beginning to think that we're not very good and nothing I do during the game makes a blind bit of difference to the team. Week after week, game after game this group of players finds a way to let us down. They are without a doubt the most spineless, gutless and pathetic team that has ever been assembled to wear the blue and white stripes of the Wednesday. Their predecessors will be turning in their graves or shaking their heads in absolute disgust at their performances and attitudes. Most of em are just waiting for their contracts to expire so they can go somewhere else and get another payday the likes of which we can only dream of. If there were any justice in the world we would be the last club any of them ever play for again and the footballing world would shun and forget them for what they have served up this season. Darren Moore has no chance of achieving anything here while this bunch of abject wastes of oxygen are here stealing money from us. I feel for the guy because he's going to get sacked when he points this out to chansiri and his mate. The whole club is a disgrace to the name Sheffield Wednesday. mcmigo
The sweet , blessed relief of relegation is surely now close. The minnows of league 1 await our arrival with baited breath and a quiver of excitement, a fizz in their groins at the thought of the massive keeping them company for a couple of seasons. Lets get it over with Darren, don’t fight it but embrace it. 4-1 Hudds.

You might not like Reach, but he is the most likely source of chances. Bannan’s gps is at the menders, Windass doesn’t pass and Harris will be on the left if Reach doesn’t play, thereby completely ruining his game. Has to be Reach wide.
NobbyStyle
Excellent work on the OMDT again Lord Snooty. Not sure about “lashings of ginger beer” we all need something much stronger on these match days. Must Must Win. Please... UTO 1
