Some cracking ones there mostly from the 40's. One lot of 6 had a Wednesday v Chesterfield programme from Easter Monday 1948. I put a couple of bids in but backed out when it got to £90. Went for £95 in the end + 25% commission. Some other lots went for big money. They were talking about old football programmes the other day on the tele. It's the ones like these 1950s, 60s and before that are fetching the money anything later 70s, 80s etc are fetching a couple of quid.
Joondalup
Our old man smoked a few ‘Parkies’ to get me this book when I was a kid. The book is a bit tatty now, but I don’t have the heart to throw it away. A great read - the stats at the back of the book don’t quite add up. But I love it and it’s got this great photo of ‘the Don’. One of my earliest hero’s. We finished 15th in the old Div 1 that year (at least according to the book !). Thanks Dad.
OWLERTON GHOST
I had quite a few of those Joon... The old man never smoked a fag in his life though ... He used to get the coupons off his fellow work colleagues ... I think Benson and Hedges did a Cricket annual and Rothmans did a motorsport one if I'm not mistaken ..... Remember the one you have there...iconic photo that with Bestie and Dennis the Menace.. Happy Days ......
