Darren Moore on improving the team

Recommended Posts

I like DM. He’s clearly here (in his own mind anyway) to rebuild this team. No doubt DC will fire him after we go down and bring in someone who has to spend 4 months ‘learning about league one’ before they get fired.
Anyway, in the meantime has Darren considered just threatening the players? He’s a big man and could just threaten to smash them in the face if they aren’t better at football?

Worth a try?

You don't get a quick fix overnight.

We try and dripfeed information to the group without giving too much and making things complicated. It takes time to implement your ideas.

This is an intelligent enough squad and they have got the ability. It is about applying it and getting that consistency.

I look for performance and the consistency of the performance. That has to be the biggest thing I drive with this group.

The players have to remember they are good players and highly elite footballers.

There is still a lot to play for and we look no further than the game at the weekend.

We know it will be tough and we will play against one of the most in-form teams in the league.

We look forward to the challenge that it presents itself.

It takes clear focus and mindset and that constant reminder to the group of they have proven they are big players.

I dont see what you are mate TBH the one thing i dont see in your answer,is commitment,desire,......the players performance is consistent, consistently poor...

DM has made things more complicated, not for him but for the players. He literally does not seem to know the effect he is having or more bluntly what he is doing

New System, Windass played on the left, and play it out from the back when the team is nervous and shellshocked by recent defeats, four in a row before DM arrived. And some of these players know they are not big, highly elite  players..they will not believe this hot air.

The trouble is you can’t do anything positive with this bunch of players.  A pity Moore can’t see this after two defeats and working with them for a full week.  Other teams don’t event have to get out of second gear to beat us.

I'll say. Stuffed into those training tops his muscles underneath look like coiled steel cables.

I suspect though that he's a gentle giant.
