Comeonwednesday
OK sexpistol here we go. Ticker Taylor in characteristic pose. Think it's probably fair to say that the Wycombe Corner is pretty full. West stand looks less than half full. I presume they are sat in there and not Wednesday fans. Can't read what it says on that draped Union Jack but the banner next to it could be an early Blavdes thing. Both ends of the lower leps are 'thinning out' and certainly not full. TC with Kenworthy? And again Celebrating Tickers first goal, all except the pig in the end seat bottom row North Stand. Last one is a bit camera shook but I love that sweep of the North's roof and also more trees in the ground. 3

Based on those, I think it’s fair to say there are more than 4-5k Blunts even if they aren’t in the West stand. I’d guess at about 7k I think the standing area held about 10k then. Emerson Thome
Afraid I don't have any pics of the same vintage as these, but here are a few... Wickham scored the equaliser at this end later in the game.

Emerson Thome
Got hammered 4-0 at Fulham. Remember McCormack scoring a free-kick.

If you enlarge the photo and look at the pig fan sat in the far right seat on the North, it actually looks a bit like Gary Megson
MuseManMatt08
Beautiful thread this what an amazing idea! So refreshing amongst all the dire things right now. Image one and two - Colchester at Hillsborough 22nd October 2011, always made a home game for my birthday weekend when I lived in Manchester. Image three and four, Rochdale away 2012 with Tango himself lending his presence to an image haha think we lost 2-0 or drew 0-0 can't remember which but some of our lot ripped the advertisement boards off the back of their stand and passed them down... Quite embarrassing and there was loads of fights after near the station, I absolutely hated Rochdale that day and would never go again I said. And image five and six, Blackpool away 2011-12, as well I think. JJ hit the woodwork and it was a grim goalless draw, remember the pitch being bumpy as hell. Blackpool centre before the game was carnage outside Yates etc, couldn't wait to leave again after the match ha Seems like yesterday to me but it was almost a decade ago most of this. Always with my brother, and sadly a lifelong Owl, Tony, who is no longer with us in our photo outside Hillsborough.

Brian Marwood scored a penalty in that game if I’m correct. It would have been only the second or third game I had ever been to Hillsborough. Great memories. Thanks for posting these.
