Barry Bannan being subbed off

Then our idea of hierachial structures in football must differ because the sanctity and integrity of management have been further eroded with the disclosure that a manager apologised for making a substitution.

People looking (deliberately) for stuff that simply isn't there

Managers since I was a kid have told of times they've apologised to a player for taking them off for tactical reasons

But yeah - go head and try and use to to attack a brand new manager in his first week if it makes you feel good

Personally I think it's a bit tacky to do so

You can have whatever opinion you want

But come on - we've got a new manager in place and you're already throwing around stuff like that in his first week?
Just think it's a bit OTT and sad
Like I say though - if you want to do that go ahead - I won't applaud anyone doing something like that though

Darren Moore deserves and needs backing not slating in his first week

Some of his decisions cannot be backed except by sheep. Supporting the new manager ought not include backing every early decision,  however blatantly foolish.

Ok mate 👍

I’m 100% behind the manager like almost  all Wednesday fans

Shame a couple of others aren’t

Was a very confusing watch for the first 30 minutes

One minute BB was chasing round their back 3 pressing

Next minute he's taking the ball off Tom Lee's toes

Where the fizz was he actually supposed to be playing?

I think there’s maybe a difference from where he’s supposed to be playing and where he decides to play.

Moore will learn that Bannan is the only one with any ability in the squad, and how the rest of the players, because they are all so lacking in ability, completely rely on him.

And it showed when he went off.

He needs to be involved and on the ball, only way to do that with us is get it off the keeper or Tom Lees.

He was definitely playing in the '3' in the 4-2-3-1

         Hutch           Shaw

Harris         Bannan       Windass

                  Patterson

But as we know, he likes to play alongside Tom Lees, so it just meant he was mostly everywhere but there

I personally think Bannan has signed the contract so that the club can get something for him. In return he would have got a signing on fee, good wages, and a release clause. All their wages will decrease upon relegation, and he will be confident that he will get somewhere else.

him and his mrs have only recently moved to Sheffield mind.

What can our best player influence when he's 80 yards from the opponent's goal?

Bobby Moore was England's best player, Moore said we were to play on the front foot, hardly, Shaw and hutch don't know what forward is, what chance has Bannan playing with this lot.

I'm not going to argue that Barry Bannan isn't a good player, he is.

However he's not indispensable, he has averaged 6 assists and 2 goals per season in his 6 seasons with us (including this one).

So far 15 other teams have been promoted to the Prem without having BB playing for them (I know not 15 different teams).

So if he gets subbed off its not the end of the world, Is it?
